    Indications

    Symptomatic treatment for headaches, including migraine, toothache, dysmenorrhea, neuralgia, back pain, joint pain, muscle pain, rheumatic pain, as well as symptoms of colds and flu.

    Application

    For oral administration with short-term use.

    Adults and children over the age of 12. The preparation should be taken 1 tablet every 4 hours. The tablet should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid during or after a meal. Do not use more than 3 tablets in 24 hours. The maximum daily dose is 1200 mg.

    The minimum effective dose should be used for the shortest possible period necessary to eliminate symptoms.

    If complaints persist for 3 days in children and 4 days in pain in adults, the patient should see a doctor.

    Patients with sensitive stomachs are advised to take Imet with meals.

    Elderly people do not need special dosage.

    Patients with impaired renal or hepatic function of mild to moderate dose reduction is not required.

    Contraindications

    Hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or to any of the components of the preparation. hypersensitivity reactions (for example, asthma, rhinitis, angioedema or urticaria), which were previously observed after the use of ibuprofen, acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs. a stomach ulcer / bleeding in active form or a history of relapses (two or more severe episodes of peptic ulcer or bleeding). gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation associated with a history of NSAIDs. severe dysfunction of the liver, kidneys, heart failure. iii trimester of pregnancy (see use during pregnancy and lactation). cerebrovascular or other bleeding. violation of hematopoiesis or blood clotting.

    Overdose

    In children, the use of 400 mg / kg body weight of ibuprofen may cause symptoms of intoxication. in adults, the dose-response effect is less pronounced. half-life in case of overdose is 1.5-3 hours.

    Symptoms In most patients who participated in clinical trials, the use of a significant amount of NSAIDs caused nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, or very rarely, diarrhea. Tinnitus, headache, dizziness, and gastrointestinal bleeding are also possible. In more severe poisoning, toxic damage to the central nervous system may occur, which manifests itself in the form of drowsiness, nystagmus, visual impairment, sometimes an agitated state and disorientation or coma. Sometimes patients have seizures. In severe poisoning, hyperkalemia and metabolic acidosis, acute renal failure, liver damage, arterial hypotension, respiratory failure, and cyanosis may occur. BA patients may have exacerbation of BA.

    Treatment is symptomatic and supportive, including ensuring airway patency and monitoring vital signs until the condition normalizes. Oral administration of activated charcoal or gastric lavage within 1 hour after administration of a potentially toxic dose of the preparation is recommended. If the ibuprofen has already been absorbed into the body, alkaline substances can be administered to accelerate the excretion of acidic ibuprofen in the urine.
