    Product description

    Intesta Max is food for special medical purposes in the form of granules. The product is intended for the dietary management of intestinal diseases and disorders, such as:

    • irritable bowel syndrome (IBS),
    • diarrhea and intestinal disorders caused by, but not limited to, antibiotic therapy, radiotherapy, chemotherapy or pathogens,
    • disorders caused by intestinal surgery,
    • inflammatory bowel diseases,
    • diverticular disease of the intestine.

    The active substance in the product is sodium butyrate in a specially developed triglyceride matrix, which protects the nutrient from being absorbed in the stomach and helps deliver it to the colon. The matrix is ​​made of properly selected, fully hydrogenated triglycerides of fatty acids from palm oil (Microencapsulated sodium butyrate technology). The granules in the sachet are insoluble in water and have an added natural cranberry flavor.

    Application

    Food for special medical purposes for dietary management:

    • in intestinal disorders,
    • in inflammatory diseases of the intestinal mucosa,
    • in disorders of the intestinal flora,
    • in intestinal infections and diarrhea.

    Recommended intake

    • Adults: 1 sachet a day, in the morning after breakfast.
    • The granules from the sachet are recommended to be poured directly into the mouth and washed down with water at room temperature, or mixed with a thick meal, e.g. yogurt or cheese, and eaten immediately after opening the sachet.

    Usage method

    Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other functional bowel disorders:

    • it is recommended to take 1 sachet in the morning after breakfast until a positive dietary effect is obtained, not less than one month,
    • if during this period no positive dietary effect is obtained, the procedure with Intesta Max can be continued until it is achieved,
    • further treatment, in order to maintain the achieved dietary effect, can be continued with the use of Intesta capsules, which contain a smaller portion of buttery sodium.

    Diarrhea and intestinal disorders caused, inter alia, by antibiotic therapy, radiotherapy, chemotherapy or pathogens:

    • it is recommended to take 1 sachet in the morning after breakfast until a positive dietary effect is obtained, not less than one month,
    • if during this period no positive dietary effect is obtained, the procedure with Intesta Max can be continued until it is achieved,
    • further treatment, in order to maintain the achieved dietary effect, can be continued with the use of Intesta capsules, which contain a smaller portion of buttery sodium.

    Use before and after intestinal surgery:

    • it is recommended to take 1 sachet in the morning after breakfast or 1 sachet in the morning after breakfast and 1 sachet in the evening after dinner, for about 10-14 days before the surgery,
    • it is recommended to take 1 sachet in the morning after breakfast or 1 sachet in the morning after breakfast and 1 sachet in the evening after dinner, for about 2 weeks after the surgery.

    Inflammatory bowel disease and diverticular disease:

    • it is recommended to take 1 sachet in the morning after breakfast.

    Components

    A mixture of fully hydrogenated triglycerides of fatty acids from palm oil, sodium butyrate, natural cranberry flavor, sweetener: acesulfame K.

    100 g of the product contains:

    • energy value 2836 kJ / 688 kcal,
    • fat 70 g, including fatty acids 70 g; carbohydrates 14 g, including sugars 0 g; protein 0.5 g, salt 16.2 g, including sodium 6.5 g,
    • sodium butyrate 30 g.

    1 sachet contains:

    • energy value 71 kJ / 17 kcal,
    • 1.75 g fat, including 1.75 g fatty acids; carbohydrates <0.5 g, including sugars 0 g; protein <0.5 g; salt 0.4 g, including sodium 0.16 g,
    • sodium butyrate 0.75 g.

    2 sachets contain:

    • energy value 142 kJ / 34 kcal,
    • fat 3.5 g, including fatty acids 3.5 g; carbohydrates <0.5 g, including sugars 0 g; protein <0.5 g; salt 0.8 g, including sodium 0.32 g,
    • sodium butyrate 1.5 g.

    Contraindications

    Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the product.

    Important tips

    The product should be used under medical supervision.

    The preparation is not intended for parenteral use.

    The product cannot be used as the sole source of food.

    Do not use in people who do not have the above-mentioned conditions, health disorders or there are no medical indications for its use.

    Before starting to use the preparation, read the information on the recommended intake and use provided on the packaging and in the leaflet.

    The doctor may recommend the period of taking and a portion of the preparation individually adjusted to the dietary needs.
