Indications and action

Inventum Max contains the active substance - sildenafil, which belongs to the drugs from the group of phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors.

It works by relaxing the blood vessels in your penis, allowing blood to flow into your penis when you are sexually excited.

Inventum Max will only help you to get an erection if you are sexually stimulated.

Inventum Max is used in adult men to treat erectile dysfunction, defined as the inability to obtain or keep a hard penis sufficient for sexual activity.

Composition

The active substance is sildenafil.

Each tablet contains 50 mg of sildenafil formed in situ with 70.24 mg of sildenafil citrate.

The other ingredients are:

potassium polacrylin, purified water, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica, aspartame, croscarmellose sodium, peppermint flavor, lactose monohydrate, povidone K-30.

Contraindications

Do not take Inventum Max

if you are allergic to sildenafil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine

if you are taking nitrates (e.g. nitroglycerin, isosorbide mononitrate, isosorbide dinitrate, pentaerythritol tetranitrate) or nitric oxide releasing drugs (e.g. molsidomine) or the anti-ischemic drug nicorandil, as taking them together can lead to a dangerous drop in blood pressure.

Please inform your doctor if you are taking any drugs from this group. These medicines are often used to relieve the symptoms of angina ("chest pain").

Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

if you are taking other medicines or nitric oxide releasing agents (such as amyl nitrite poppers), as taking them together can also lead to a dangerous drop in blood pressure;

if you are taking riociguat. It is a medicine used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (i.e. high blood pressure in the lungs) and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (i.e. high pressure in the lungs caused by blood clots).

PDE5 inhibitors such as Inventum Max have been shown to potentiate the blood pressure lowering effects of this drug. If you are taking riociguat or are unsure about it, talk to your doctor or pharmacist;

if you have severe heart disease such as: unstable coronary artery disease (manifested by chest pain when you climb to the second floor within 10 seconds or walk dynamically for 20 minutes); ischemic disease (manifested by chest pain during sexual intercourse); congestive heart failure NYHA class II, III, IV (manifested by breathlessness after climbing the second floor within 10 seconds or dynamically walking for 20 minutes);

if you have other heart conditions such as moderate or severe valvular heart disease, hypertrophic or other cardiomyopathy;

if you suffer from severe liver failure;

if you have had a heart attack, stroke, life-threatening abnormal heart rhythm in the last 6 months;

if you have low blood pressure (less than 90/50 mmHg when resting);

if you have high blood pressure (over 160/100 mmHg while resting);

if you have an inherited degenerative change in the retina, such as retinitis pigmentosa;

if you have ever been diagnosed with loss of vision due to anterior ischemic optic neuropathy not related to arteritis

Dosage

If you have taken medicines containing 50 mg or more of sildenafil before, the recommended dose is 50 mg. Otherwise, the drug Inventum Max in a dose of 50 mg should be used only if the patient after taking sildenafil in a dose of 25 mg did not feel the desired effect (i.e. did not obtain an erection sufficient for intercourse).

If the use of a medicine containing sildenafil in a lower dose (25 mg) resulted in an erection enabling sexual intercourse, the dose of 50 mg should not be used.

Inventum Max should not be taken more than once a day.

Side effects

Tell your doctor immediately or go to the nearest hospital and stop taking Inventum Max if you experience the following symptoms after taking this medicine:

-Sudden wheezing, difficulty breathing or dizziness, swelling of the eyelids, face, lips or throat;

-if you have chest pain during or after intercourse.

You should then: take a semi-sitting position and try to relax; do not take nitrates to relieve chest pain;

-abnormally prolonged and sometimes painful erection - lasting more than 4 hours;

-sudden decrease or loss of vision;

- severe skin reactions such as severe peeling and swelling of the skin, blistering of the mouth, genitals and around the eyes, fever;

-seizures or convulsions

Other side effects:

• Very common (may affect more than 1 in 10 people):
• Headache.

Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 people):

• nausea, flushing, hot flush (symptoms include a feeling of heat in the upper body),

Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 people):

• stuffy nose, dizziness.

Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):

• vomiting, skin rash, eye irritation, eye redness, eye pain, seeing flashes of light, vivid vision, sensitivity to light, watery eyes,
• palpitations, rapid heartbeat, hypertension, hypotension,
• muscle aches, sleepiness, reduced sense of touch, vertigo, ringing in the ears, dry mouth, blocked or blocked sinuses, rhinitis (symptoms include runny nose, sneezing and stuffy nose)
• upper abdominal pain, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (characterized by heartburn), pain in the arms or legs, nose bleeds, feeling hot and tired, haematuria.
• Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people):
• fainting, stroke, heart attack, irregular heartbeat, temporary reduction in blood flow to part of the brain
• throat tightness, numbness in the mouth, bleeding in the back of the eye, double vision, decreased visual acuity, abnormal
• inside the eye, swelling of the eyes or eyelids, small particles or points in your field of vision, seeing circles around light sources
• dilation of the pupil, abnormal white color of the eye, bleeding from the penis, blood in semen, dry nose, swelling inside the nose
• feeling irritable, and sudden decrease or loss of hearing.

In the post-marketing experience, rare cases of unstable angina (heart disease) and sudden death have been reported. Importantly, most, but not all, of the men who experienced these side effects had heart problems before taking sildenafil. It is not possible to determine whether these side effects were related to the use of a medicine that contains sildenafil.
