    Mode of application

There are different dosing regimens for each indication. It should be ensured that the patient is prescribed a dosage that is appropriate for their condition. The dose of the preparation and the duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor individually for each patient, depending on the indications and severity of the disease. For oral use. The preparation can be taken regardless of the meal. Tablets should be swallowed whole, without breaking, chewing or crushing them.

    Application features

    pregnant
During pregnancy, the preparation can be prescribed only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk.
    Children
The preparation is not recommended for use in children due to the lack of data supporting its use in this age group.
    Drivers
Patients are not recommended to drive a car or other mechanisms until individual sensitivity to such effects is determined.

    Overdose

In general, the symptoms reported were due to an increase in the known pharmacological effects of the preparation, such as drowsiness and sedation, tachycardia and hypotension. There is no specific antidote for quetiapine. In severe cases, consideration should be given to the use of multidirectional measures and intensive care, including the restoration and maintenance of airway patency, provision of adequate oxygenation and ventilation of the lungs, monitoring and support of the cardiovascular system. Published reports describe cases of elimination of serious central nervous system (CNS) reactions, including coma and delirium, with intravenous administration of physostigmine (1-2 mg) under continuous ECG monitoring.

    Side effects

When taking quetiapine, the following adverse reactions were most often reported: drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, withdrawal symptoms (in case of discontinuation of the preparation), increase in serum triglycerides, increase in total cholesterol (especially LDL cholesterol), decrease in blood HDL cholesterol, weight gain, decreased hemoglobin and extrapyramidal symptoms.

    Interaction

The preparation should be used with caution in patients receiving other preparations with anticholinergic (muscarinic) effects.
Despite the fact that quetiapine primarily acts on the central nervous system (CNS), Quetixol should be used with caution in combination with other preparations that have a similar effect, and with alcohol.
Concomitant use of cytochrome P450 3A4 inhibitors such as HIV protease inhibitors, azole antifungals, erythromycin, clarithromycin and nefazodone.
