KETOLEK 50 mg is a preparation with anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic properties (belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory preparations - NSAIDs). It is intended for use in the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain of various origins, e.g. muscle pain, bone and joint pain, headache.
Properties:
KETOLEK 50 mg contains the active substance ketoprofen, which has a triple action: analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory. In addition, it inhibits the activity of the enzyme - cyclooxygenase, thanks to which the feeling of pain is reduced, but also allows you to get rid of fever faster.
The active substance of the preparation is ketoprofen.
Each capsule contains 50 mg of ketoprofen.
The other ingredients are: Lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica.
Body: gelatin, titanium dioxide (E 171).
Lid: gelatin, iron oxide, black (E 172), erythrosine (E 127), indigo carmine (E 132), titanium dioxide (E 171).
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. The preparation is intended for oral administration. It should be taken for the shortest possible time and at the lowest effective dose to reduce the risk of side effects.
Adults and adolescents over 15 years of age:
1 capsule every 8 hours.
Ketolek should be swallowed whole (not chewed) with plenty of liquid, with or after a meal. Duration of treatment You should not use the preparation for more than 5 days without consulting your doctor. If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 5 days, please contact your doctor.
Caution is required in the elderly due to the increased risk of serious side effects. If you need to take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory preparations, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Patients with impaired liver and kidney function:
If you use more Ketolek than you should: Central nervous system disturbances such as headache, dizziness, lethargy, drowsiness, dementia and loss of consciousness as well as abdominal / epigastric pain, nausea and vomiting may occur as symptoms of overdose. In addition, hypotension, respiratory depression (decrease in respiratory rate), and purple skin and mucous membranes (cyanosis) may occur. There is no specific antidote. Inform your doctor if you suspect an overdose of Ketolek. Taking into account the severity of the poisoning, the doctor will decide on appropriate preventive measures.
