Description
Indications.
Post-traumatic muscle and joint pain. Tenosynovitis.
Contraindications
a history of hypersensitivity to ketoprofen or other preparation excipients
any history of photosensitivity
known hypersensitivity reactions, such as symptoms of bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, urticaria, following the use of ketoprofen, fenofibrate, tiaprofenic acid, acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs
a history of allergic skin manifestations when using ketoprofen, tiaprofenic acid, fenofibrate, ultraviolet (UV) blockers or perfumes;
exposure to sunlight (even scattered light) or UV radiation in a tanning bed during gel treatment and for 2 weeks after its termination;
do not use the gel in the presence of pathological changes on the skin (for example, wet dermatoses, skin lesions, rash, skin trauma, burns, eczema, acne) or infectious processes of the skin and open wounds,
III trimester of pregnancy.
Compound
active substance: ketoprofen;
1 g of gel contains 25 mg ketoprofen
Excipients: carbomer, triethanolamine, ethanol 96%, lavender oil, purified water.
Method of administration and dosage.
For external use.
Apply a thin layer of 3-5 cm of gel 1-2 times a day to the skin of the affected area and rub it gently. The amount of gel depends on the size of the injured area: 5 cm of the gel corresponds to 100 mg of ketoprofen, 10 cm - 200 mg of ketoprofen. The use of an occlusive dressing is not recommended.
The duration of treatment is 7-10 days. After applying the gel, you should wash your hands. Ketonal® gel can be used in combination with other dosage forms (capsules, tablets, suppositories). The total maximum daily dose should not exceed 200 mg of ketoprofen, regardless of the dosage form used.
Children.
The safety and efficacy of the preparation has not been established for this age group.
