    Pharmacological properties

    Herbal preparation for the treatment of premenopausal and climacteric disorders.
    The extract of cimicifuga has a positive effect on the neurovegetative system and reduces the level of psychoemotional disorders in the climacteric period. The use of the preparation contributes to the weakening or complete disappearance of the symptoms of the disease in the premenopausal and climacteric periods, including such as hot flashes and profuse sweating.

    Indications

    Neurovegetative disorders during premenopause, menopause, postmenopause (hot flashes, increased sweating, sleep disorders, hyperexcitability, mood swings, apathy).

    Application

    Klimadinon is prescribed orally, 30 drops or 1 tablet 2 times a day, preferably at the same time (morning and evening). drops are taken undiluted or with sugar, they must be shaken before use. the tablets are swallowed without chewing. the therapeutic effect is manifested approximately 2 weeks after the start of taking the preparation. the course of therapy is determined individually (3–6 months). The preparation should not be taken for more than 6 months without consulting a doctor.
    Klimadinon Uno. If the doctor has not prescribed otherwise, women during menopause take the preparation 1 tablet once a day, preferably at the same time (in the evening).
    The tablets should be swallowed without chewing with a sufficient amount of liquid.
    Do not take a double dose if the patient misses 1 dose. The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor individually. The course can be from 3 to 6 months.
    If symptoms persist during treatment, you should see your doctor. Do not use the preparation for more than 6 months without consulting a doctor.

    Contraindications

    Hypersensitivity to the active substance or other components of the preparation. estrogen-dependent tumors.

    Side effects

    When using preparations containing cimicifuga, cases of gastrointestinal disorders (including dyspeptic disorders, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting), allergic reactions (including rash, itching, urticaria), facial edema and peripheral edema were noted. with the use of preparations containing cimicifuga, hepatotoxic reactions are associated (including hepatitis, jaundice, abnormalities in laboratory parameters of liver function). there have been reports of a feeling of tension in the mammary glands and menstrual bleeding.
    In case of any adverse reactions, you should stop using the preparation and consult a doctor.

    Special instructions

    Patients with a history of impaired liver function should take the preparation with caution. if signs of liver damage appear (fatigue, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin and eyes, or severe pain in the upper abdomen with nausea and vomiting, or dark urine), you should stop using Klimadinon and immediately consult a doctor.
    In case of violation or resumption of menstruation, as well as in the case of prolonged menstruation or other complaints that arise during treatment, it is necessary to consult a doctor to revise the treatment regimen.
    Women of reproductive age need to use effective contraception.
    You should not use Klimadinon without consulting a doctor if the patient is already taking female sex hormones (estrogens).
    If, while taking Klimadinon, the severity of symptoms increases, you should consult a doctor.
    The preparation contains lactose, therefore, patients with rare hereditary forms of galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome should not use the preparation.
    The drops contain 38% ethanol, and a single dose contains a small amount of XE.     During pregnancy and breastfeeding. The safety of cimicifugi during pregnancy and lactation has not been established, therefore, the preparation should not be used during this period.

    The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving or working with other mechanisms. In the recommended doses, the preparation does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or work with other mechanisms, but it should be remembered that Klimadinon in the form of drops contains alcohol.

    Interactions

    When combined with estrogens, Klimadinon can enhance their effect (see special instructions).

    Overdose

    If you take doses in excess of the recommended ones, you should inform your doctor so that the necessary measures can be taken. in case of overdose, symptomatic therapy should be carried out.

    Storage conditions

    Klimadinon - in its original packaging in a dark place at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° С; an open bottle must be used within 6 months.
    Klimadinon Uno - at room temperature in its original packaging in order to protect it from light, at a temperature not exceeding 30 ° C.
