Lakcid is a powder that is made up into a suspension for oral administration. It contains Lactobacillus rhamnosus strains, which, like other lactic acid bacteria, colonize the intestinal mucosa and normalize the composition of the gastrointestinal microflora, especially after its sterilization as a result of antibiotic therapy. The results of the conducted research confirmed that these strains survive in the gastric juice environment and are resistant to the action of bile salts, which enables them to adapt and survive in the gastrointestinal tract. By competing for substrates and the site of colonization on the intestinal mucosa, and by producing lactic acid as a result of anaerobic decomposition of sugars, they create unfavorable conditions for the development of most pathogenic microorganisms. These strains have natural resistance to a wide range of clinically used antibiotics.

The thermolabile product is a temperature-sensitive preparation and requires special storage conditions. Store it in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions contained in the leaflet or on the product packaging.

Lakcid should be stored in a refrigerator (2-8 ° C). During the validity period, the preparation may be stored for 1 month at 15-25 ° C.

Indications

Lakcid is intended for use:

in post-antibiotic enteritis with particular emphasis on the supportive treatment of pseudomembranous colitis,
as the main treatment in recurrent pseudomembranous colitis,
in the prevention of travelers' diarrhea,
as adjunctive therapy during and after antibiotic therapy.

Composition

1 ampoule contains:

Active substances: Lactobacillus rhamnosus minimum 2 billion CFU of sticks, Lactobacillus rhamnosus Pen - 40%, Lactobacillus rhamnosus E / N - 40%, Lactobacillus rhamnosus Oxy - 20%.

Rods resistant to: amoxicillin, ampicillin, azlocillin, cefepime, cefotaxime, cefradin, ceftazidime, cefuroxime, doxycycline, erythromycin, gentamicin, imipenem, clindamycin, cloxacillin, cotinicilin, cotinicilic acid, cotrimenicilicin, cotrimenicilic acid , streptomycin, teicoplanin, tobramycin, vancomycin.

Excipients: skim milk and sucrose.

Action

Normalizing the composition of the gastrointestinal microflora, especially after its sterilization as a result of antibiotic therapy.

Dosage

Adults: unless the doctor recommends otherwise: one ampoule dose 3-4 times a day.

The preparation is administered orally. Immediately before use, open the ampoule by carefully pressing the neck of the ampoule downwards. The pressure point of the ampoule is marked with a "dot". Add a small amount of boiled water or milk cooled to room temperature, mix well. Touch the edge of the open ampoule to the side of the teaspoon. The slurry will come out onto the teaspoon.

The preparation is administered regardless of the time of the meal.
