Orally. Adults and children over 10 years of age - 1 tablet 3 times a day Children: 2-3 years of age - 1/2 tablet 2 times a day; 4-6 years of age - 1/2 tablet 3 times per day; 7-10 years of age - 1 tablet 2 times a day.
1 tablet contains 1.0 g of magnesium hydrogen aspartate (70 mg Mg) and 5 mg of vitamin B6.
Magnesium is an activator of many enzymes, incl. carrying high-energy phosphate compounds. It is a regulator of the cell cycle, e.g. it determines the correct concentration of potassium in the cell. Plays an important role in the process of muscle contraction (including the heart muscle), affects the neuromuscular excitability (calcium antagonist). It also has a positive effect on the blood coagulation process - it is a stabilizer of platelets and fibrinogen. It stimulates the body's defenses, contributes to the proper development of the skeletal system and has a calming effect. Magnesium deficiency is manifested by increased muscle tension, muscle tremors, muscle cramps, in extreme cases weakness, nausea and vomiting, tetany attacks, heart rhythm disturbances, mental changes - depressive symptoms, irritability, anxiety, hallucinations, sleep disturbances. The daily demand for magnesium is about 300 mg and increases with accelerated gastrointestinal transit, excessive alcohol consumption, stressful situations, and excessive exercise.
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) increases the absorption of magnesium, facilitating its absorption.
Prophylactically and therapeutically in states of deficiency and increased demand for magnesium, incl. during pregnancy, lactation, periods of rapid growth, hard physical work, during intense sports exercises, convalescence, in the elderly (especially with circulatory failure). In cardiac arrhythmias, malabsorption disorders, cachexia, fatigue, irritability, sleep disorders, headaches and muscles, during long-term use of diuretics, laxatives, sedatives, oral contraceptives, antibiotics (especially aminoglycosides), H2 receptor blockers, during slimming treatments, with improper nutrition only with white bread, cooked and canned products, with excess fats, sugar, calcium, coffee and alcohol.
Hypermagnesaemia, atrioventricular block, severe renal failure, myasthenia gravis. Phenylketonuria (due to the content of aspartame).
After high doses, gastrointestinal symptoms (abdominal pain, nausea, constipation, less often - diarrhea) may occur.
It shows antagonism to calcium and phosphate preparations. It reduces the absorption of tetracyclines, iron and fluorine compounds (including fluoroquinolones) and oral anticoagulants derived from warfarin (a 3-hour interval between the administration of these preparations and the preparation should be maintained).
