    Product description

    Cream "Locoid Lipokrem" is used for the following indications:
    • superficial uninfected dermatoses, which are treated with local corticosteroids (eczema, allergic and contact dermatitis, neurodermatitis, psoriasis);
    • continuation of treatment or maintenance therapy for dermatoses for which strong corticosteroids have been used in the past.

    Compound

    The active ingredient is hydrocortisone 17-butyrate (1 g of cream contains 1 mg of hydrocortisone 17-butyrate).
    Excipients: cetostearyl alcohol, macrogol cetostearyl ether, mineral light oil, white soft paraffin, propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216); benzyl alcohol, anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, purified water.

    Contraindications

    • skin lesions caused by bacterial infections (for example, pyoderma, syphilitic or tuberculous lesions), viral infections (for example, chickenpox, herpes simplex, herpes zoster, common wart, flat wart, condyloma, molluscum contagiosum); infections caused by fungi and yeast; parasitic infections (such as scabies);
    • ulcerative skin lesions, wounds;
    • adverse reactions caused by corticosteroids (eg, perioral dermatitis, striae);
    • ichthyosis, juvenile plantar dermatosis, acne vulgaris, rosacea, fragility of skin vessels, skin atrophy;
    • allergic reactions of hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation or corticosteroids (the latter are rare).

    Mode of application

    The preparation is applied in a small amount to the skin 1-3 times a day. When the condition improves, as a rule, it is sufficient to use the preparation once a day or 2-3 times a week.
    The total course dose should not exceed 30-60 g per week.
    "Lokoid Lipokrem" should be applied in a uniform thin layer to the affected skin. The preparation can be rubbed gently into the skin to accelerate its penetration.
    To ensure the best therapeutic effect, an occlusive dressing can be applied.

    Application features

    Pregnant
    Corticosteroids cross the placenta. Currently, there is no clear information on the development of teratogenic effects in humans, similar to those observed in animal experiments. With the systemic use of large doses of corticosteroids, it was reported about the effect on the fetus or newborn child (growth retardation in the uterus, adrenocortical suppression). Despite the small amount of information on the use of corticosteroids on human skin during pregnancy, given their limited systemic absorption, it is possible to use mild to moderate corticosteroids (class 1 and class 2), such as hydrocortisone, for short periods of time and in limited areas of the skin. The aforementioned effects cannot be ruled out with prolonged use or application to large areas of the skin. This can only be done with special indications.
    This preparation can be used by women who are breastfeeding only in the context of short-term treatment and application to small areas of the skin. For long-term treatment or application to large areas or affected skin, breastfeeding should be discontinued.
    Children
    For use in children over 3 months of age.
    Drivers
    There is no data on the effect of the preparation on the ability to drive vehicles or mechanisms. No influence is foreseen.

    Overdose

    In case of chronic overdose or misapplication, side effects may occur. If symptoms of hypercortisolism are observed, treatment should be discontinued.

    Side effects

    From the immune system: very rarely (<1/10000, including individual messages) - hypersensitivity.
    From the endocrine system: rarely (> 1/10000, <1/1000) - adrenocortical suppression.
    From the side of the organs of vision: very rarely (<1/10000, including individual messages) - increased intraocular pressure, increased risk of cataracts (with topical application).
    Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: rarely (> 1/10000, <1/1000) - contact allergy, pustular acne; skin atrophy, often irreversible, accompanied by thinning of the epidermis, telangiectasias, purple and stretch marks; depigmentation; rosacea-like and perioral dermatitis, with or without skin atrophy; "Rebound effect", which can lead to steroid dependence; dermatitis and eczema, including contact dermatitis, delayed wound healing; hypertrichosis.
