    Product description

    Lozap 100 Plus tablets are indicated for essential arterial hypertension in patients in whom monotherapy with losartan or hydrochlorothiazide does not adequately control blood pressure.

    Compound

    Active ingredients: losartan potassium, hydrochlorothiazide;
    1 tablet contains losartan potassium 100 mg, hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg;
    Excipients: lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, magnesium stearate, Opadry 20A52184 yellow (hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E 171), quinoline yellow aluminum Lake (E 104), iron oxide yellow (E 172), iron oxide black ( E 172).

    Contraindications

    Hypersensitivity to losartan or to the components of the preparation.
    Hypersensitivity to sulfonamide derivatives (such as hydrochlorothiazide).
    Treatment-resistant hypokalemia or hypercalcemia.
    Anuria.
    Severe liver dysfunction, cholestasis and disorders associated with obstruction of the biliary tract.
    Refractory hyponatremia.
    Symptomatic hyperuricemia / gout.
    Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <30 ml / min).
    Pregnancy or planning a pregnancy.
    Simultaneous use of the preparation with preparations that contain aliskiren, in the presence of diabetes mellitus or impaired renal function (GFR <60 ml / min / 1.73 m2).
    Childhood.

    Mode of application

    The preparation can be used regardless of food intake. The tablet should be swallowed with water.
    The preparation can be administered in conjunction with other antihypertensive preparations.
    The combination of losartan and hydrochlorothiazide is not intended for use as initial therapy. It is indicated only in patients in whom blood pressure cannot be adequately controlled with losartan potassium monotherapy or hydrochlorothiazide monotherapy. It is recommended to perform dose titration for each component separately (for losartan and hydrochlorothiazide). In clinically acceptable cases, the feasibility of a direct transition from monotherapy to a fixed combination may be considered for patients in whom it is not possible to adequately control the level of blood pressure.

    Overdose

    There is no data on the specific treatment of preparation overdose. In case of overdose, treatment should be discontinued, and the patient should be monitored. If the preparation is recently taken, you need to induce vomiting and take measures aimed at eliminating dehydration, electrolyte disturbances, hepatic coma and arterial hypotension. Treatment is symptomatic and supportive.

    Side effects

    From the nervous system. Frequency unknown: dysgeusia.
    On the part of the cardiovascular system. Frequency unknown: dose-dependent orthostatic effects.
    Hepatobiliary system. Rarely hepatitis.
    On the part of the skin and the immune system. Frequency unknown: cutaneous lupus erythematosus.
    Research results. Rarely: hyperkalemia, increased levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT).

    Interaction

    The simultaneous use of the preparation with preparations containing aliskiren is contraindicated in the presence of diabetes mellitus or renal dysfunction (GFR <60 ml / min / 1.73 m2).
