MOMESTER NASAL The nasal spray is used to treat the symptoms of a doctor-diagnosed seasonal allergic rhinitis (also called seasonal allergic rhinitis or hay fever) in adults.
Momester Nasal contains mometasone furoate, which belongs to one of a group of medicines called corticosteroids. This ingredient, when administered intranasally, alleviates the symptoms of hay fever, which occurs at certain times of the year and is an allergic reaction caused by inhalation of pollen from trees, grasses, weeds, as well as mold and fungus spores.
Momester Nasal reduces swelling and irritation of the nasal mucosa, thereby relieving sneezing, itching, nasal congestion or nasal discharge caused by seasonal allergic rhinitis.
The active substance is mometasone furoate. Each dose contains mometasone furoate monohydrate, equivalent to 50 micrograms mometasone furoate.
The other ingredients are: benzalkonium chloride, solution; glycerol; polysorbate 80; microcrystalline cellulose; carmellose sodium; citric acid monohydrate; sodium citrate; Purified Water.
The usual dose is two sprays in each nostril once a day. Once symptoms are controlled, reduce the dose to one spray in each nostril once a day. Do not exceed the recommended doses.
Some patients experience relief from symptoms within 12 hours of the first dose of Momester Nasal. However, the full benefit of treatment may occur after the first two days of taking the preparation.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the preparation. The preparation is intended for adults
