Mucitus capsules are indicated for use:
The active ingredient is erdosteine (one capsule contains 300 mg erdosteine).
Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, sodium starch glycolate (type A), magnesium stearate; capsule shell: brilliant blue (E 133), titanium dioxide (E 171), gelatin.
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients containing free SH-groups.
You should stop using this preparation if:
The preparation is administered orally, regardless of food intake.
Recommended dosage:
The course of treatment is determined by the doctor individually. In acute uncomplicated diseases, the preparation should be used for 5-10 days. The duration of treatment for chronic diseases is determined by the doctor. Elderly patients do not need dose adjustment.
Pregnant
During the studies, no cases of embryo / fetal malformations were identified, however, information on the use of erdosteine during pregnancy and lactation is limited. In this regard, the preparation should be used during pregnancy, especially during the first trimester, only if absolutely necessary, after assessing the benefits / risks to the fetus and mother.
Children
The preparation is contraindicated in children under the age of 8 years.
Drivers
There was no negative effect on the ability to drive vehicles, operate machinery or concentrate.
So far, no cases of overdose have been reported. In case of an overdose or accidental intake of this remedy, the child is recommended symptomatic therapy (gastric lavage and other supportive measures).
Sometimes the use of erdosteine can cause undesirable reactions from the gastrointestinal tract, such as a burning sensation and pain in the stomach, nausea, vomiting, and rarely, diarrhea. In several cases, ageusia or dysgeusia were observed at the beginning of therapy. Hypersensitivity reactions such as rash or sudden hyperpyrexia, erythema, Quincke's edema are rare. From the side of the nervous system, headache is possible.
