NASCAR is a hypoallergenic, transparent, quick-drying silicone gel for the treatment of scars of various origins.
NASCAR Gel is easy to apply to all areas of the skin, including exposed areas such as the face and neck; as well as joints and hairy areas without the need for shaving.
If used as directed, the gel dries quickly to form a thin silicone film. The protective layer, which is gas-permeable and waterproof, moisturizes and protects the scar from chemical and bacterial attack, and allows the scar to normalize the collagen synthesis cycle.
NASCAR gel softens and smoothes scars, eliminates itching and discomfort, redness and discoloration of scars. NASCAR gel is used to treat all types of scars, including those resulting from: general surgery, trauma, chronic wounds, caesarean sections, burns, bites, acne and other skin conditions.
In the International Clinical Guidelines for the Treatment of Scars, it is noted that "silicone gel should be used as a first-line therapy in the initial stages of scar treatment and as a prevention of the formation of hypertrophic and keloid scars."
NASCAR gel is used to prevent and treat all types of scars, including keloids and hypertrophic scars. NASCAR can be used in conjunction with other invasive techniques to improve the overall outcome, including surgical excision and suturing, injections, and pressure dressings. NASCAR gel can be applied to the skin of children of any age, women during pregnancy and lactation; for sensitive and allergy-prone skin.
For best results, it is recommended to start using NASCAR as soon as possible after the epithelization of the wound. After surgery with suturing, NASCAR is applied starting from the 10th day after surgery.
A mixture of polysiloxanes.
Make sure the scar is clean and dry. Apply a thin layer of NASCAR Gel to the scar and leave to dry. Apply the gel to the affected areas of the skin once or twice daily, or as directed by a physician. To achieve the best result, it is necessary to ensure constant contact of the gel with the scar. If the gel is used correctly, it dries completely within 5-7 minutes. If it takes longer to dry completely, you may be applying too much gel. Gently blot excess gel with a tissue and leave to dry. Once the gel has dried, you can apply sunscreen, cosmetics, pressure bandages or casts.
