Description
Product description
Nebivolol Sandoz tablets are used for the following indications:
essential arterial hypertension;
chronic heart failure of mild or moderate severity as an addition to standard treatment methods for patients over 70 years of age.
Compound
Active ingredient: nebivolol;
1 tablet contains nebivolol 5 mg in the form of nebivolol hydrochloride;
Excipients: croscarmellose sodium, lactose, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, hypromellose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
hypersensitivity to the active substance or other components of the preparation;
liver failure or impaired liver function;
acute heart failure, cardiogenic shock or episodes of decompensated heart failure requiring the administration of active substances with a positive inotropic effect;
sinus node weakness syndrome, including sinoauricular blockade, AV block II-III degree (without an artificial pacemaker);
bronchospasm and bronchial asthma in history;
untreated pheochromocytoma;
metabolic acidosis;
bradycardia (prior to treatment, heart rate < 60 beats per minute);
arterial hypotension (systolic blood pressure < 90 mm Hg);
severe disorders of the peripheral circulation.
Mode of application
For adult patients, the dose is 5 mg (1 tablet) of nebivolol per day. The preparation can be taken with meals, preferably at the same time. The hypotensive effect appears after 1-2 weeks of treatment, but sometimes the optimal effect is observed only after 4 weeks.
Application features
pregnant
The preparation should be prescribed only when the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.
Children
Studies on the use of the preparation in children and adolescents have not been conducted, therefore, the preparation is not recommended for this age group.
Drivers
Carefully.
Overdose
With an overdose of β-blockers, the following are observed: bradycardia, arterial hypotension, bronchospasm, acute heart failure.
Overdose treatment: gastric lavage, activated charcoal and laxatives. Mechanical ventilation may also be required. Blood glucose monitoring is recommended. If necessary, intensive therapy is carried out in a hospital: with bradycardia and increased vagotonia - the introduction of atropine, with arterial hypotension and shock - the introduction of plasma substitutes and catecholamines. The β-blocking effect can be stopped by slow intravenous administration of isoprenaline hydrochloride, starting at a dose of 5 mcg/minute, or dobutamine, starting at a dose of 2.5 mcg/minute, until the expected effect is achieved. In resistant cases, isoprenaline can be combined with dopamine. If these measures do not help, prescribe glucagon at the rate of 50-100 mcg / kg. If necessary, the injection can be repeated within an hour and, if necessary, an infusion of glucagon at a rate of 70 mcg/kg/hour can be carried out. In extreme cases, artificial ventilation of the lungs and the connection of an artificial pacemaker are carried out.
Side effects
On the part of the psyche: infrequently - nightmares, depression.
From the nervous system: often - headache, dizziness, paresthesia; very rarely - fainting.
On the part of the organs of vision: infrequently - visual impairment.
From the respiratory system: often - shortness of breath; infrequently - bronchospasm.
From the digestive tract: often - constipation, nausea, diarrhea; infrequently - dyspepsia, flatulence, vomiting.
On the part of the skin and subcutaneous tissue: infrequently - itching, erythematous rash; very rarely - exacerbation of psoriasis; unknown - urticaria.
From the side of the cardiovascular system: infrequently - bradycardia, heart failure, slowing of AV conduction / AV blockade, arterial hypotension, increased intermittent claudication.
General disorders and reactions at the injection site: often - fatigue, swelling.
From the immune system: unknown - angioedema, hypersensitivity.
From the reproductive system: infrequently - impotence.
Interaction
Co-administration with class I antiarrhythmic preparations (quinidine, hydroquinidine, cibenzoline, flecainide, disopyramide, lidocaine, mexiletine, propafenone) is not recommended, since the effect on AV conduction and the negative inotropic effect may increase.
Storage conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
Keep out of the reach of children.
Shelf life - 3 years.
