    NOVOSTELLA 10 MG 60 TABLETS

    Composition

    1 tablet contains 10 mg of prasterone. Other ingredients: ludipress (lactose monohydrate, povidone, crospovidone), magnesium stearate.

    indications

    For the treatment of dehydroepiandrosterone (prasterone) deficiency in women with prasterone deficiency.

    Action

    Supplementing with the group of steroid hormones.

    Dosage

    The starting dose is 1 tablet (10 mg) once a day. The preparation should be taken in the morning, in line with the natural rhythm of DHEA secretion. The initial dose should be gradually increased (by 1 tablet a day after 2 weeks) until the desired therapeutic effects are achieved. Changing the dose, especially increasing the dose, always requires consultation with your doctor.

    Contraindications

    If you are allergic to prasterone or any of the other ingredients of this medicine; if you have severe liver and / or kidney failure; if you have breast, ovarian or other cancers; if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; in children; in women with normal levels of prasterone. Patients under 40 years of age should not use this medicine.

    Side effects

    Side effects can occur with the use of the preparation, although they do not necessarily occur in everyone. Rare: acne, hirsutism, seborrheic skin changes, male pattern baldness, enlarged prostate, low voice tone, nausea, vomiting, increased appetite, edema (water and salt retention), hypercalcemia. Very rare: hepatitis, hepatomegaly, mania.
