    Method of administration and dosage

The dose is selected by the doctor individually. The preparation should be used in the most effective doses for a short period of time, taking into account the purpose of treatment in each individual patient.
    Adults.
The initial daily dose of diclofenac sodium is usually 100-150 mg, that is
2-3 tablets Olfenu®-50 Lactab. In less severe cases and with long-term therapy, it is usually sufficient to use 75-100 mg / day (use a dose of 75 mg in an appropriate dosage). The daily dose, as a rule, is divided into 2-3 doses.
To prevent nighttime pain and morning stiffness, taking Olfenu®-50 Lactab during the day can be combined with the administration of rectal capsules at bedtime, but the maximum daily dose of diclofenac should not exceed 150 mg.
In primary dysmenorrhea, the daily dose is selected individually and is usually 50-150 mg. The initial dose can be 50-100 mg and, if necessary, can be increased during several menstrual cycles, but not more than 200 mg / day. Treatment should be started at the onset of the first symptoms and continued for several days, depending on the dynamics of regression of symptoms.
    Elderly patients.
Although in elderly patients the pharmacokinetics of Olfen®-50 Lactab does not deteriorate to any clinically significant degree, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory preparations should be used with extreme caution in elderly patients, who are usually more prone to developing adverse reactions. In particular, for debilitated elderly patients or patients with low body weight, it is recommended to use the lowest effective dose, and patients should be examined for gastrointestinal bleeding when treating NSAIDs.
    Children.
Tablets in a dose of 50 mg should not be used in children due to the high content of the active substance in them.
