    Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics. Dexpanthenol is a precursor of pantothenic acid and has the same biological effect as pantothenic acid. Pantothenic acid and its derivatives are water-soluble vitamins, which are an integral part of coenzyme a, which, in the form of the coenzyme acetyl-coa, participates in cellular metabolism. Pantothenic acid is essential for the formation and regeneration of the skin and mucous membranes. When applied externally, dexpanthenol / panthenol accelerates the processes of epithelialization and scarring of damaged skin and mucous membranes.
Pantothenic acid and its derivatives are non-toxic. There are no data on mutagenic, teratogenic or carcinogenic effects of the preparation.
Pharmacokinetics. Dexpanthenol penetrates well into the cells of the skin and mucous membranes, where it is transformed into pantothenic acid. Pantothenic acid, which has entered the systemic circulation, accumulates in body tissues, is not metabolized and is excreted unchanged (60–70% in urine, the rest in feces).

Hypoallergenic preparation with panthenol in the form that suits me best . Absorbs quickly, has no smell, is easy to apply. The not only soothes after excessive exposure to the sun, but also moisturizes the skin - also sensitive.
