    Pharmacological properties

Pikovit syrup contains 9 important vitamins that are involved in the regulation of many biochemical processes in the body. the effects of vitamins and minerals in the body are mainly physiological rather than pharmacodynamic. they play an important role in the maintenance of vital functions and psychological health.

B vitamins (B1, B2, B6, pantothenic acid and nicotinamide) are involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats, and also play an important role in the functioning of the nervous system. Vitamin A is essential for the development of epithelial cells and for the synthesis of visual pigment. Vitamin D regulates calcium absorption and promotes proper mineralization of bones and teeth. Vitamin C controls the absorption of iron and takes part in many redox processes in the body.

There are no data on the pharmacokinetics of Pikovit syrup. Water-soluble vitamins (B vitamins, vitamin C and biotin) are well absorbed in quantities that meet daily needs. Excessive amounts are excreted in the urine, in some cases in the feces. These vitamins are in limited quantities in the body, so they should be taken regularly in order to maintain appropriate tissue concentrations.

In the presence of fat when ingested, fat-soluble vitamins A and D are well absorbed in the small intestine.
