Symptoms of the reflux of stomach contents into the esophagus (gastroesophageal reflux), symptomatic treatment of a burning sensation in the esophagus (heartburn).

1 capsule contains gastro-resistant granules of 10 mg omeprazole. The other ingredients are: sucrose, grains (containing corn starch and sucrose), corn carboxymethyl starch and sucrose), sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A), sodium laurilsulfate, povidone K30, potassium oleate, oleic acid and methacrylate copolymer 1: 1), triethyl citrate, titanium dioxide (E171), talc.

Capsule shell: hypromellose, carrageenan, potassium chloride, iron oxide red, Allura red AC (E 129), titanium dioxide (E 171), sunset yellow (E 110).

Omeprazole inhibits the secretion of gastric acid, reducing the irritating effect of gastric acid on the esophagus in patients who are refluxing gastric contents into the esophagus.

Always use the preparation according to the directions provided in the leaflet. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

The usual dose is two 10 mg capsules once a day for 14 days. If symptoms persist after this time, contact your doctor. It may be necessary to take the capsules for 2-3 consecutive days to improve symptoms.

It is recommended to take the capsules in the morning. The capsules can be taken with or on an empty stomach.

Swallow the capsules whole with half a glass of water. The capsules must not be chewed or crushed. This is because the capsules contain gastro-resistant granules, which stop the medicine from being broken down by the acid in your stomach. It is important that the granules are not damaged.

Omeprazole is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to omeprazole or any of the excipients. Omeprazole is contraindicated in patients taking atazanavir due to the risk of a significant decrease in atazanavir concentrations.
