Each 1 gram of Posterisan ointment contains:
Active Substance: 166.7 mg of a standardized suspension of bacterial culture (CSBC), which includes at least 500 million inactivated Escherichia coli bacteria, their cell wall components, and metabolic products.
Preservative: 3.3 mg of Liquefied Phenol.
Excipients: Lanolin (wool fat) and white soft paraffin (petrolatum).
The efficacy of Posterisan is based on its local immunostimulating effect. When applied to the affected area, the inactivated E. coli components act as antigens:

Posterisan is exceptionally well-tolerated. However, some users may experience:
