Description

Indications

Arterial hypertension.
Heart failure.
Prevention of recurrent stroke in patients with cerebrovascular disease.
Prevention of cardiovascular complications in patients with documented stable ischemic heart disease.
Long-term treatment reduces the risk of myocardial infarction and heart failure (according to the results of the EUROPA study).

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any other ingredient of the preparation, as well as to other ACE inhibitors.

The presence of angioedema in history associated with previous treatment with ACE inhibitors (see section "Peculiarities of use").

Hereditary or idiopathic angioedema.

Simultaneous administration with preparations containing the active substance aliskiren to patients with diabetes mellitus or renal insufficiency (glomerular filtration rate <60 ml / min / 1.73 m2) (see Sections "Peculiarities of use" and "Interaction with other preparations and other types interactions").

Women planning pregnancy and pregnant women.

Extracorporeal treatments that lead to blood contact with negatively charged surfaces (see Section "Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions").

Significant bilateral stenosis of the renal arteries or stenosis of the artery of a single kidney (see section "Peculiarities of use").

Compound

active ingredient: perindopril;

1 tablet contains 2 mg or 4 mg, 8 mg of perindopril as a salt of tert-butylamine;

Excipients: calcium chloride hexahydrate, lactose, crospovidone, microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate.

Method of application and dose.

The preparation is intended for adults for oral use.

It is recommended to use perindopril 1 time per day in the morning before meals.

The dose should be selected individually for each patient, taking into account the indications for use, the patient's profile and blood pressure indicators (see Section "Peculiarities of use").

Arterial hypertension.

Perindopril can be given as monotherapy or in combination with other classes of antihypertensive agents.

The recommended starting dose is 4 mg once daily in the morning.

In patients with high activity of the RAAS (especially patients with renovascular hypertension, fluid and electrolyte imbalance, heart failure or severe arterial hypertension, as well as elderly patients), due to the possibility of a sudden decrease in blood pressure (hypotension of the first dose), an initial dose of 2 is recommended. mg under the supervision of a doctor, if necessary - in a hospital.

After 1 month of treatment, the dose can be increased to a maximum of 8 mg 1 time per day.

At the beginning of therapy with perindopril, symptomatic hypotension may occur, especially in patients taking diuretics. In such patients, treatment with perindopril should be initiated with caution, as they may be deficient in water and/or salt. If possible, you should stop using the diuretic 2-3 days before the start of treatment with perindopril (see section "Peculiarities of use").

For patients with arterial hypertension, if the use of diuretics cannot be stopped, treatment with perindopril should be started with a daily dose of 2 mg. In such patients, renal function and serum potassium levels should be monitored. Further increase in the dose of perindopril should be carried out depending on the indicators of blood pressure, and if necessary, diuretic treatment can be restored.

In elderly patients, treatment should be started with a dose of 2 mg, which can be increased to 4 mg after 1 month of treatment, and then, if necessary, depending on kidney function, up to 8 mg, taking into account kidney function.
