    Product description

    Rolinoz is an antihistamine for systemic use. Indications for use are symptomatic therapy of nasal and ocular symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria.

    Compound

    1 ml of cetirizine dihydrochloride 10 mg;
    excipients: glycerin propylene glycol; sodium saccharin methylparaben (E 218) propylparaben (E 216) sodium acetate, trihydrate; glacial acetic acid; purified water.

    Contraindications

    Hypersensitivity to the active substance, other components of the drug, to hydroxyzine or to any piperazine derivatives in the history of severe renal dysfunction with CC less than 10 ml / min.

    Mode of application

    The drug is intended for oral administration.
    Adults and children over 12 years old - the drug should be used in a dose of 10 mg (20 drops) 1 time per day.
    Children aged 6 to 12 years - apply the drug in a dose of 5 mg (10 drops) 2 times a day.
    Children aged 2 to 6 years - apply the drug in a dose of 2.5 mg (5 drops) 2 times a day.
    For children with impaired renal function, the dose should be adjusted individually, depending on the patient's creatinine clearance, age and body weight.

    Application features

    Antihistamines, including cetirizine, suppress the response to an allergic skin test, therefore, the drug should be discontinued 3 days before the test (withdrawal period) before testing.
    It was reported about the development of itching and / or urticaria after cetirizine discontinuation, even if these symptoms were not previously observed. In some cases, they can be intense, which requires the restoration of cetirizine intake. The need to restore treatment depends on the manifestations that have arisen.
    When using cetirizine in therapeutic doses, no clinically significant interactions with alcohol were observed (at blood alcohol levels of 0.5 g / l). However, in the case of simultaneous use, caution should be exercised.
    Pregnant
    During pregnancy, the drug should be used with caution when, in the opinion of the doctor, the benefits of using for a woman outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.
    Children
    The drug is prescribed for children from 2 years of age.
    Drivers
    Patients who drive vehicles or other mechanisms should not exceed the recommended doses and should take into account the reaction of their own body to the drug.
    Patients experiencing drowsiness should refrain from driving vehicles or other mechanisms.
    In sensitive patients, the simultaneous administration of the drug with other drugs that depress the central nervous system may cause additional impairment of attention.

    Overdose

    Symptoms observed after a significant overdose of cetirizine, mainly associated with effects on the central nervous system or with effects that may indicate an anticholinergic effect. Adverse reactions reported after taking a dose that is at least 5 times the recommended daily dose include: confusion, diarrhea, dizziness, fatigue, headache, malaise, mydriasis, itching, anxiety, sedation, drowsiness, stupor, tachycardia, tremor, urinary retention.

    Side effects

    From the side of the psyche - drowsiness.
    From the side of the nervous system - dizziness, headache.
    From the respiratory system, chest and mediastinal organs - pharyngitis.
    From the digestive tract - abdominal pain, dry mouth, nausea.
    General disorders - increased fatigue.
