    Pharmacological properties

    The effect of the preparation is due to the properties of its components. biologically active substances of valerian and motherwort extracts (essential oils, saponins, alkaloids, tannins) have a beneficial effect on the functional activity of the central nervous system and the autonomic nervous system, showing mainly sedative, anxiolytic and antispasmodic effects; regulate cardiac activity, reduce heart rate and heart rate; suppress feelings of fear, mental stress, improve falling asleep and sleep structure. The pharmacological properties of hawthorn extract are due to the presence of flavonoids, choline, acetylcholine, phytosterols, triterpenic acids. hawthorn extract is able to enhance blood circulation in the coronary and cerebral vessels, increase myocardial contractility (slight positive inotropic effect) and reduce its excitability (negative batmotropic effect). biologically active substances of hawthorn extract help to increase myocardial tolerance to hypoxia, reduce peripheral vascular resistance and increase the endurance of the heart in relation to physical activity, have antiarrhythmic, hypotensive, hypocholesterolemic effect (reduce the level of chs and tg in the blood).
    The preparation has the ability to enhance the effect of other sedatives and hypnotics.

    Indications

    Mild forms of neurotic disorders, accompanied by irritability, anxiety, fear, depression, fatigue, absent-mindedness, increased nervous irritability; mild arousal sleep disorder; headache attacks, migraine caused by nervous tension, mild forms of dysmenorrhea, climacteric syndrome; neurocirculatory dystonia with tachycardia, cardialgia and ag; stage i; as part of complex therapy and prevention of chronic ischemic heart disease, atherosclerosis, arthritis, supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias, the initial stages of chronic heart failure; dermatosis accompanied by itching (urticaria, atopic dermatitis, eczema); constant mental stress (manager syndrome).

    Application

    A single dose for adults and children over the age of 12 years is 1-2 tablets 2-3 times a day. for mild forms of insomnia - 1-2 tablets 1 hour before bedtime. the maximum daily dose is 6 tablets.

    Contraindications

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation, severe arterial hypotension, severe bradycardia, depression and other diseases, accompanied by inhibition of the central nervous system.

    Side effects

    Allergic reactions: in patients with individual hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation, allergic reactions may develop, including symptoms such as rash, itching, urticaria;
    from the nervous system: dizziness, drowsiness;
    on the part of the cardiovascular system: possible tachycardia or bradycardia, lowering blood pressure;
    from the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, spasms.

    Special instructions

    During pregnancy and breastfeeding. it is not recommended to use the preparation due to insufficient data on the safety of use during pregnancy and lactation.

    Interactions

    The preparation enhances the activity of cardiac glycosides (digoxin), as well as the effect of antispasmodics, hypnotics and sedatives. the preparation should not be used together with antiarrhythmic preparations of the third generation.
    The preparation can potentiate the pharmacological effects of analgesic, antihypertensive preparations, and also enhances the effect of alcohol.

    Overdose

    Symptoms: headache, dizziness, fatigue, lethargy, depression, weakness, decreased performance and concentration, drowsiness, abdominal pain, nausea, hand tremor, dilated pupils, chest tightness, bradycardia, decreased blood pressure; treatment: immediate discontinuation of the preparation and timely emergency measures taken (gastric lavage, use of activated charcoal and desensitization agents), as well as symptomatic treatment, contribute to the rapid elimination of clinical manifestations of overdose.
