    Product description

    Powder for inhalation, metered dose Seretide ™ Discus ™ is indicated for use when:
    • bronchial asthma. Regular treatment of bronchial asthma in patients who are indicated for combination therapy with a long-acting β2-adrenergic agonist and inhaled GCS;
    • chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Maintenance therapy of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in patients with FEV1 60% of the proper values ​​(before inhalation of a bronchodilator) and repeated exacerbations in the history, in which symptoms of the disease persist despite regular therapy with bronchodilators.

    Compound

    1 dose contains 50 mcg of salmeterol (in the form of salmeterol xinafoate) micronized and 500 mcg of fluticasone propionate (micronized);
    excipients: lactose monohydrate.

    Contraindications

    Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation.

    Mode of application

    Seretide Discus is intended for inhalation use only.
    Asthma.
    Adults and children over 12 years of age: one inhalation (50 mcg salmeterol / 500 mcg fluticasone propionate) twice a day.
    For the treatment of adults and adolescents with moderate persistent asthma, Seretide Discus can be used as an initial maintenance therapy if it is necessary to achieve rapid control of symptoms of the disease. In such cases, the preparation is recommended to be used in a starting dose of 1 inhalation of 50 mcg of salmeterol and 100 mcg of fluticasone propionate twice a day.
    Children aged 4 to 12 years, one inhalation (50 mcg salmeterol / 100 mcg fluticasone propionate) twice a day.
    The maximum daily dose of fluticasone propionate in Seretide Discus in children is 100 mcg twice a day.
    Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
    Adults - one inhalation (50 mcg salmeterol / 500 mcg fluticasone propionate) twice a day.

    Application features

    Pregnant
    The appointment of Seretide Diskus during pregnancy is advisable only in cases where the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the risk to the fetus.
    The appointment of Seretide Diskus during lactation is advisable only when the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the possible risk to the child.
    Children
    There is no data on the use of Seretide Discus in children under 4 years of age, therefore it is not recommended to use it.
    Drivers
    Studies of the effect of Seretide Discus on this activity have not been conducted, however, given the pharmacology of both preparations, it can be assumed that there is no effect.

    Overdose

    According to clinical trials, there is no information on an overdose of Seretide Discus.

    Side effects

    Infections and invasions: candidiasis of the mouth and throat, esophageal candidiasis, pneumonia, bronchitis.
    From the immune system: skin reactions of hypersensitivity, edema, shortness of breath, bronchospasm, anaphylactic reactions, including anaphylactic shock.
    Mental disorders: anxiety, sleep disturbance, hyperreactivity and agitation, depression, aggression.
    From the nervous system: headache, tremor.
    From the side of the organs of vision: cataracts, glaucoma, blurred vision.
    From the heart: tachycardia, tachycardia, arrhythmia.
    Respiratory system: nasopharyngitis, throat irritation, hoarseness / dysphonia, sinusitis, paradoxical bronchospasm.

    Storage conditions
