    - prevention of recurrence of life-threatening ventricular tachyarrhythmia;
    - Treatment of symptomatic non-sustained ventricular tachyarrhythmias.
    Supravetrikulyarny arrhythmias:
    - prevention of paroxysmal atrial tachycardia, paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, paroxysmal atrioventricular (AV) nodal reciprocal tachycardia, paroxysmal AV reciprocal tachycardia in the presence of additional pathways, paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia after surgery;
    - maintenance of normal sinus rhythm after conversion of fibrillation or atrial fibrillation.

    Compound

    active ingredient: sotalol;
    1 tablet contains sotalol hydrochloride 40 mg or 80 mg or 160 mg
    excipients: corn starch, lactose, sodium starch (type A), hydroxypropyl cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate.

    Method of application and dose.

    In the treatment of life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias with antiarrhythmic preparations, it is necessary to start therapy, as well as increase the dose in a hospital setting, with equipment for monitoring and assessing heart rate variability.
    During treatment, control studies should be carried out regularly (for example, using a standard ECG - at intervals of 1 month, a long-term ECG - every 3 months, and, if necessary, an ECG during exercise).
    Therapy should be reconsidered if individual parameters worsen, for example, an increase in QRS duration or a QT interval of more than 25%, a PQ interval of more than 50%, or an increase in the frequency and severity of arrhythmias.
    This dosage regimen is recommended: the initial dose is 80 mg per day as a single dose or in 2 doses (40 mg each) with an interval of 12:00.
    If the effectiveness of therapy is insufficient, the daily dose can be gradually increased at intervals of at least 3 days to achieve an equilibrium concentration of sotalol in the blood plasma and control the duration of QT intervals using ECG.
    For some patients, a daily dose of 160-320 mg divided into 2 doses may be necessary.
    For the prevention of supraventricular arrhythmias, it is recommended to use a dose of 320 mg / day in 2 doses with an interval of 12:00. For the prevention of supraventricular arrhythmia after heart surgery, the daily dose should be 240 mg in 2 divided doses.
    Individual patients with persistent life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias may be given 480-640 mg of sotalol per day. However, the appointment of such a dose requires a careful assessment of the ratio of potential benefits and risks of severe adverse reactions (especially proarrhythmic effects).
