    Product description

    Steper Pro is an antifungal medicine in the form of a cream for use on the skin. It contains the active substance bifonazole, which has a broad antifungal activity. Steper Pro cream is intended especially for people exposed to fungi and bacteria in places such as swimming pools, saunas and gyms.

    Indications

    Topical treatment of fungal skin infections such as:
    tinea pedis, tinea tinea, tinea skin folds, tinea versicolor, superficial skin mycoses (candidiasis) and topical treatment of dandruff erythematosus

    Composition

    1 g of cream contains:
    10 mg of bifonazole (Bifonazolum).
    Excipients: cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, cetyl palmitate, octyldodecanol, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate, benzyl alcohol, essential oil of field mint with reduced menthol content, purified water.

    Action

    Antifungal.

    Dosage

    Always take the medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
    The preparation should be taken once a day, preferably in the evening, before going to bed.
    A small amount of cream is usually sufficient to cover skin with hand-sized lesions.
    Apply a thin layer of the preparation to the affected area and massage it in gently.
    The duration of use of the preparation should be sufficiently long:
    athlete's foot and athlete's foot - 3 weeks,
    mycosis of the trunk, hands and skin folds - 2-3 weeks,
    pityriasis versicolor - 2 weeks,
    erythematous dandruff - 2 weeks,
    mycosis (candidiasis) of the skin surface 2 - 4 weeks.

    Contraindications

    Allergy to the active substance or to any of the other ingredients of the preparation.
    Steper Pro should not be used in the first trimester of pregnancy.

    Storage

    Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
    Store below 25 ° C.
    Do not freeze.
    Shelf life after first opening - 3 months.

    Side effects

    Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
    Not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data):
    • pain at the injection site
    • peripheral swelling (at the injection site),
    • contact dermatitis,
    • allergic dermatitis,
    • erythema (local redness of the skin),
    • itching
    • rash (itchy red lumps on the skin)
    • hives (pale pink, itchy blisters on the skin)
    • bubbles
    • peeling of the skin
    • eczema,
    • dry skin
    • skin irritation,
    • skin maceration (skin softening under the influence of the preparation),
    • a burning sensation on the skin.
    The side effects usually disappear when treatment is stopped.

    Interactions

    Using the preparation with warfarin increases the risk of hemorrhage. If you use Steper Pro and warfarin at the same time, you should be under close medical supervision.
    Tell the doctor or pharmacist about all the preparations taken by the patient now or recently, as well as about the preparations that the patient is planning to take.
    Warnings and Precautions
    Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the cream.
    Patients with a history of hypersensitivity reactions to other imidazole antifungal agents (e.g. econazole, clotrimazole, miconazole) should use preparations containing bifonazole with caution.
    If symptoms persist or do not improve after discontinuation of treatment, please contact your doctor.
    Avoid contact of the preparation with the eyes.
    Do not swallow.
    If your doctor decides that you need to use Steper Pro while breastfeeding, you should stop breastfeeding.
    Kids
    In infants and children, the preparation may only be used on the orders and under the supervision of a doctor.
    Pregnancy and breastfeeding
    If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
    Steper Pro should not be used in the first trimester of pregnancy.
    If your doctor decides that you need to use Steper Pro while breastfeeding, you should stop breastfeeding.
    Driving vehicles and operating machinery
    Steper Pro has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
    The preparation contains cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol
    The preparation may cause a local skin reaction (e.g. contact dermatitis).
