Tavegyl is a first generation antihistamine. It is used for anaphylactic or anaphylactic and angioedema (as an adjuvant). Allergic and pseudo-allergic reactions, incl. during the administration of contrast agents, blood transfusions, diagnostic use of histamine (prevention and treatment), as well as those caused by the use of preparations or insect bites. Hay fever, allergic rhinitis, urticaria (including dermographism), itching, allergic dermatitis and dermatosis, acute and chronic eczema (as an adjuvant), contact dermatitis.
1 tablet contains clemastine hydrofumarate 1.34 mg, which corresponds to 1 mg clemastine
Excipients:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation, the simultaneous use of MAO inhibitors. Diseases of the lower respiratory tract, with bronchial asthma, porphyria, lactation period. Age up to 1 year, for the preparation in the form of tablets. - age up to 6 years.
Tablets should be taken before meals with water.
Adults and children over 12 years of age take 1 tablet in the morning and evening. In especially severe cases, the daily dose can be increased to 6 tablets; the maximum single dose is 2 tablets.
Children aged 6 to 12 years, take ½ - 1 tablet before breakfast and at bedtime.

The result of an overdose of antihistamines can be both depression and excitation of the central nervous system (depression of consciousness, agitation, hallucinations, convulsions). Tavegyl, like other antihistamines, potentiates the action of sedatives, hypnotics, MAO inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants, anxiolytics, opioid analgesics and alcohol. During the use of the preparation should avoid the use of alcoholic beverages.
