Application features
Pregnant
During pregnancy and lactation, use with caution, under the supervision of a physician, strictly observing the recommended doses.
Children
The preparation should not be used in children under 4 years of age in this dosage form due to the risk of aspiration.
Drivers
The preparation "Tevalor-Teva" does not affect the patient's ability to perform work requiring increased attention (driving vehicles and working with mechanisms).
Overdose
Strengthening the manifestations of adverse reactions.
Ascorbic acid is well tolerated. It is a water-soluble vitamin, and its excess is excreted in the urine. However, with prolonged use of vitamin C in large doses, it is possible to suppress the function of the insular apparatus of the pancreas, which requires monitoring the state of the latter. Overdose can lead to changes in renal excretion of ascorbic and uric acids during acetylation of urine with the risk of precipitation of oxalate calculi.
The use of large doses of the preparation can lead to vomiting, nausea or diarrhea, which disappear after its withdrawal, in rare cases, ulcers and necrosis of the esophagus may occur. Treatment is symptomatic.
Side effects
The preparation is usually well tolerated, does not irritate tissues at the site of application, and there have been no reports of serious side effects. However, such undesirable preparation reactions associated with dequalinium chloride are possible: from the digestive tract: nausea, vomiting, burning sensation and irritation in the throat, dry mouth, oral dysbiosis (with prolonged use in high doses);
The following side reactions associated with ascorbic acid are possible:
from the immune system: allergic reactions, including rash, itching, angioedema, urticaria;
on the part of the skin and subcutaneous tissue: eczema;
on the part of the cardiovascular system: arterial hypertension;
from the nervous system: increased excitability, sleep disturbance, headache, fever, fatigue;
with prolonged use in high doses (more than 1 g of ascorbic acid per day): damage to the insular apparatus of the pancreas (hyperglycemia, glucosuria) and impaired glycogen synthesis before the onset of diabetes mellitus; myocardial dystrophy; thrombocytosis, hyperprothrombinemia, erythrocytopenia, neutrophilic leukocytosis; in patients with deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase in erythrocytes, hemolysis is possible; dysbiosis of the oral cavity; irritation of the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract, heartburn, vomiting, diarrhea; damage to the glomerular apparatus of the kidneys, crystalluria, the formation of urate, cystonic and / or oxalate calculi in the kidneys and urinary tract, renal failure; violation of the metabolism of zinc, copper.
