    Indications

    Benign prostatic hyperplasia (symptomatic therapy).

    Application

    Adults per os during meals 1 time per day (it is preferable to stick to the intake at the same time) 8 mg. for certain groups of patients, the dose is 4 mg (1 time per day). do not chew the capsule, drink a glass of water.
    There is no need for dose adjustment in elderly patients or in patients with moderate or moderate hepatic insufficiency, as well as moderate renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance 50-80 ml / min). If creatinine clearance is 30–49 ml/min, the starting dose is 4 mg/day; after 1 week, it is possible to increase the dose to 8 mg / day.

    Contraindications

    Hypersensitivity to the active substance of the preparation or any of its components.

    Side effects

    • Allergic reactions (including swelling of the pharynx, tongue and face); weakening of sexual desire;
    • dizziness, loss of consciousness, syncope;
    • increased heart rate (90 bpm), palpitation;
    • decrease in blood pressure (90/60 mm Hg), postural hypotension;
    • difficulty in nasal breathing;
    • diarrhea, nausea, xerostomia;
    • itching, skin rashes, urticaria, preparation rash;
    • violation of hepatic functions;
    • ejaculation disorders (retrograde, anejaculation) and erection;
    • atonic iris syndrome.

    special instructions

    Urorec is not used before elective cataract surgery. treatment with α1-adrenergic receptor antagonists is canceled 1-2 weeks before such an intervention due to the likelihood of atonic iris syndrome.
    The preparation should not be used in patients with postural hypotension, as well as with severe hepatic or renal insufficiency.
    Prior to the start of the use of Urorec, it is necessary to ensure that the patient is diagnosed with prostate cancer.
    Normal ejaculation is restored upon completion of preparation therapy.
    Do not use in childhood and in female patients.
    In view of the likelihood of developing symptoms of postural hypotension, the patient should not drive vehicles or work with other mechanisms until the reaction of his body to the preparation is clarified.
    In the event of symptoms of postural hypotension, the patient should take a horizontal or semi-vertical position until the indicated manifestations disappear.

    Interactions

    It should not be combined with other α-adrenergic receptor blockers, as well as with strong inhibitors of cyp 3a4 (among others, ritonavir, itraconazole, ketoconazole).
    Moderate inhibitors of CYP 3A4 (including diltiazem), as well as the P-glycoprotein substrate digoxin, when used in combination with silodosin, do not require dose adjustment of the latter.
    In order to prevent the development of adverse reactions, caution and monitoring of the condition of patients is necessary when sildozin is combined with antihypertensive agents or PDE-5 inhibitors.

    Overdose

    In the case of a recent intake of the preparation, artificial vomiting should be induced or gastric lavage should be provided. if excessive intake of the preparation is accompanied by a decrease in blood pressure (90/60 mm Hg), support for cardiovascular functions is required. hemodialysis is ineffective due to the high connection of the substance with blood plasma proteins.
