    It is an over-the-counter preparation containing vitamin D3 in a dose of 20,000 IU / mg. The preparation is recommended to supplement vitamin D3 deficiency and ensure the supply of vitamin D3 at an appropriate level. Vigantol is vitamin D3 drops for children and adults.

    VIGANTOL is a preparation supplementing the level of vitamin D3 in the body.

    How does Vigantol work? It increases the absorption of calcium and is involved in bone mineralization. It prevents rickets and supports the treatment of osteoporosis.

    How many units of vitamin D3 are in one drop of Vigantol? 1 drop of Vigantol solution corresponds to 500 IU of vitamin D3.

    Dosage of Vigantol 10ml drops:

    Premature babies: 2 drops daily of Vigantol solution (1000 IU of vitamin D3). After 40 weeks of age of the corrected age, the prophylaxis dose should be reduced. The dosage must be established by the attending physician.

    Newborns and infants (up to 12 months): 1 drop of Vigantol solution daily (equivalent to 500 IU of vitamin D3).

    Adults, adolescents (12 years of age and older) and the elderly: 1 drop of Vigantol solution daily (equivalent to 500 IU of vitamin D3).

    Adjunctive treatment in osteoporosis in adults: 2 drops a day of Vigantol solution (equivalent to 1000 IU of vitamin D3).

    How to administer Vigantol? It can be administered mixed with food, directly into the mouth or with a spoon.

    The composition of Vigantol drops:

    1 ml (40 drops) contains 500 µg of cholecalciferol (which corresponds to 20,000 IU of vitamin D3).
    One drop contains 12.5 µg of cholecalciferol (equivalent to 500 IU of vitamin D3).
    Auxiliary substances; triglycerides of medium chain saturated fatty acids.
