Mode of application
Remove the protective cap. Before using for the first time, shake the bottle several times until its contents become homogeneous. When used again, the metered spray is ready to use. Insert the tip of the bottle into the nostril and press firmly once on the base of the dispenser; pull out the tip without stopping pressing. Carefully inhale through the nose to ensure optimal distribution of the spray in the nasal cavity. After use, close the bottle with a protective cap.
Unless otherwise prescribed, for children aged 2 to 6 years, prescribe 1 injection of Xylo-Teva 0.5 mg / ml nasal spray in each nostril up to 3 times a day. For children over 6 years of age and adults, prescribe 1 injection of Xylo-Teva 1 mg / ml nasal spray in each nostril up to 3 times a day.
The duration of treatment is 3-5 days, unless it is recommended by a doctor.

Not recommended for use.
Children
Xylo-Teva, nasal spray, solution 0.5 mg / ml, is intended for use in children aged 2 to 6 years.
Xylo-Teva, nasal spray, solution 1 mg / ml, is intended for use in children over the age of 6 years.
Overdose
With nasal administration, systemic exposure is unlikely due to local vasoconstriction, which suppresses absorption. In the case of systemic absorption, it can be expected that xylometazoline, as an α2-adrenergic agonist, has an effect similar to clonidine: a short increase in blood pressure followed by a longer arterial hypotension and sedation.
Symptoms of intoxication with imidazole derivatives may be clinically unclear, since periods of stimulation can alternate with periods of depression of the central nervous system and cardiovascular system.
Symptoms of central nervous system stimulation include anxiety, agitation, hallucinations, and seizures.
Symptoms of central nervous system depression include a decrease in body temperature, lethargy, drowsiness, and coma.
The manifestations of such symptoms are also possible: miosis, mydriasis, sweating, nausea, vomiting, cyanosis, fever, pallor of the skin, tachycardia, palpitation, bradycardia, cardiac arrest, arterial hypertension, shock-like hypotension, pulmonary edema, respiratory failure, ataxia and apnea.
Overdose, especially in children, can lead to significant effects on the central nervous system, causing spasms, coma, bradycardia, apnea and arterial hypertension, arterial hypotension may change.
Severe overdose will require hospital treatment.
Side effects
On the part of the respiratory system, chest and mediastinum: temporary weak signs of irritation (burning sensation or dryness of the nasal mucosa), especially in sensitive patients; reactive hyperemia; nosebleeds; sneezing.
From the side of the psyche: nervousness, insomnia, drowsiness.
From the nervous system: headache, increased fatigue, agitation, dizziness, hallucinations (mainly in children).
From the side of the organ of vision: temporary visual impairment.
From the gastrointestinal tract: nausea.
From the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue: convulsions (mainly in children).
From the side of the cardiovascular system: systemic effects of sympathomimetics (feeling of rapid heartbeat, tachycardia, increased blood pressure), arrhythmia.
Interaction
Xylometazoline can enhance the effect of MAO inhibitors and induce a hypertensive crisis. Do not use xylometazoline in patients who have taken or have taken MAO inhibitors within the past two weeks.
Storage conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C, out of the reach of children.
Shelf life is 3 years.
After the first opening of the bottle - 1 year.
