Baikadent is a medicinal product in the form of a gel for use on the gums in periodontal diseases. The preparation is anti-inflammatory by reducing the production of substances that cause inflammation in the cells of the diseased tissue. It also improves the condition of the gums by stimulating the activity of cells that regenerate the gums. The active substances of the gel - a complex of flavones isolated from the root of the Baikal thyroid gland - show antibacterial and antifungal properties, affecting pathogenic bacteria. Baikadent also affects bacteria that cause pathological changes in people suffering from chronic inflammation of the oral mucosa.
