Crestor tablets are used for the following indications:
Active substance: rosuvastatin;
1 coated tablet, 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg or 40 mg rosuvastatin as 5.20 mg, 10.40 mg, 20.80 mg 41.60 mg rosuvastatin calcium;
Excipients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, calcium phosphate, crospovidone, magnesium stearate film shell: lactose monohydrate, hypromellose, glycerin triacetate, titanium dioxide (E 171), for tablets of 5 mg - iron oxide yellow (E172) for tablets of 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg - iron oxide red (E 172).
Before starting treatment, the patient should be prescribed a standard cholesterol-lowering diet, which he should adhere to during treatment. The dose should be selected individually, depending on the goal of therapy and the patient's response to treatment, guided by the recommendations of the current generally accepted guidelines.
The preparation Crestor can be taken at any time of the day, regardless of the meal.

There is no specific treatment for overdose. In case of an overdose, the patient should be treated symptomatically and, if necessary, supportive measures should be taken. It is necessary to monitor liver function and CK levels. Hemodialysis is unlikely to be effective.
Adverse events that are noted with the use of the preparation Crestor are usually mild and temporary. In controlled clinical trials, less than 4% of patients receiving Crestor withdrew from the study due to adverse reactions.

Endocrine disorders: frequent (from ≥ 1/100 to <1/10) - diabetes mellitus.
From the nervous system: frequent (from ≥ 1/100 to <1/10) - headache, dizziness.
From the gastrointestinal tract: frequent (from ≥ 1/100 to <1/10) - constipation, nausea, abdominal pain.
On the part of skeletal muscles and connective tissue: frequent (from ≥ 1/100 to <1/10) - myalgia.
During the period of combined use of the preparation Crestor and cyclosporin, the AUC value of rosuvastatin was, on average, about 7 times higher than those observed in healthy volunteers. Crestor is contraindicated in patients receiving cyclosporine at the same time.
