Dernilan is a medicinal product in the form of a cream intended for the care of the skin of the feet and hands in cases of painful and deep cracks or thickened and calloused epidermis. The composition of the preparation contains 4 active substances, i.e. nicotinamide (a form of vitamin B3), allantoin, salicylic acid and camphor. Due to the combination of these ingredients, Dernilan cream has anti-inflammatory and healing properties. It also facilitates the removal of thickened and calloused epidermis from the feet and hands. The preparation can be used by adults and children over 12 years of age. The packaging of Dernilan is an aluminum tube containing 35 g of cream, placed in a cardboard box.
The preparation is used in cases of painful and deep cracks in calloused and calloused epidermis, in the care of the skin of the feet and hands.
100 g of the preparation contains:
active substances: racemic camphor 1 g, allantoin 300 mg, nicotinamide 250 mg, salicylic acid 100 mg,
other ingredients: macrogol cetostearyl ether, glycerol monostearate, octyl stearate, stearyl alcohol, medium chain saturated fatty acid triglycerides, decyl oleate, liquid paraffin, glycerol (E 422), carbomer, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate.
The preparation has an anti-inflammatory and healing effect on the affected skin. It facilitates the removal of thickened, calloused epidermis from the feet and hands.
Apply the cream on the skin of the feet and hands 3 to 4 times a day. Gently massage the cream in, soak your feet or hands every few days and remove the callous epidermis.
After the lesions have healed, use the cream 1 to 2 times a day, after washing the feet and hands.
Dernilan cream should not be used:
Do not store above 25 ° C.
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Like all medicines, Dernilan cream can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Allergic reactions and local irritation may occur (frequency not known - cannot be estimated from the available data).
Tell the doctor or pharmacist about all the preparations that the patient is taking or has recently taken, as well as about the preparations that the patient is planning to use.
There are no data available on possible interactions of allantoin, nicotinamide and camphor applied topically to the skin.
The salicylic acid in the cream may increase the therapeutic effect of other NSAIDs.

The preparation contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate and propyl parahydroxybenzoate, therefore it may cause allergic reactions (possible late-type reactions).
The preparation contains stearyl alcohol and therefore may cause a local skin reaction (e.g. contact dermatitis).
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
The safety of the preparation in pregnant and lactating women and its effects on fertility have not been studied. Do not use Dernilan cream during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your doctor tells you to do so.
Driving vehicles and operating machinery
The preparation Dernilan cream has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
