    Pharmacological properties

    Pharmacodynamics. Complex homeopathic preparation with hypotensive action. Normalizes intracardiac hemodynamics, myocardial contractility, arterial tone, kidney function, gently reduces blood pressure and stabilizes it. the mechanism of hypotensive action is due to the effect on the vasomotor center in the medulla oblongata, a decrease in cardiac output, opsis, the concentration of biogenic amines (catecholamine, dopamine) in the central nervous system, an antispasmodic effect.
    Increases diuresis and excretion of nitrogenous substances, has antiarrhythmic, antiatherosclerotic, membrane stabilizing effects. It has a mild sedative effect (reduces the feeling of anxiety, fear, depression, emotional stress) due to its effect on the central nervous system.

    Indications

    Ag, neurocirculatory dystonia, ischemic heart disease (as part of complex therapy).

    It is taken 30 minutes before or after a meal, the tablet is kept in the mouth until it is completely dissolved. The course of treatment is at least 4–6 weeks. After stable normalization of blood pressure indicators, the drug should be taken in a maintenance dose, which is determined individually. The initial dose for children from the age of 10 years is half the recommended dose for adults, and in the future is determined individually. At the first signs of an incipient hypertensive crisis, 1 tablet of Homviotensin should be absorbed every hour, but no more than 12 tablets per day.

    Contraindications

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; children under the age of 10.

    Special instructions

    The first signs of improvement are noted 1 week after the start of treatment. when replacing homviotensin with β-adrenergic receptor blockers, calcium ion antagonists, APF inhibitors or other antihypertensive drugs, the latter are taken during the 1st week in a half dose together with homviotensin, at the 2nd week - ¼ the initial dose, at the third - ¼ the initial dose through day, after which they can be canceled, but subject to stable normalization of hell, and continue taking homviotensin alone, or combine it with a minimum dose of an allopathic agent. the safety of using the drug in children from the age of 10 has been proven by clinical studies.
    The use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation has not been studied.
    In recommended doses, it does not affect the speed of psychomotor reactions when driving and working with complex mechanisms.
    Does not reduce sexual potency in men.

    Interactions

    No cases of incompatibility are described.
    Combined intake of Homviotensin with Homvio-Nervin or Homviokorin-N enhances the hypotensive effect and improves the quality of life.
    Smoking, drinking alcohol and tonic drinks (tea, coffee) weakens the effect of homeopathic remedies.

    Overdose

    When taking a large amount of the drug (12 tablets per day), abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea may occur.
