Mauermann-Arzneimittel KG

The company Mauermann-Arzneimittel was founded in 1938 by Mr. Franz Mauermann. By founding the company, the businessman and drugstore wanted to expand the production of health teas in the already well-established drugstore in Düsseldorf. In addition to cough and bronchial tea, cardiovascular tea, there were also tea preparations for flushing the urinary tract and for blood purification. In the mid-1950s, the range was supplemented by the company's first own fixed dosage forms. Mauermann Arzneimittel Franz Mauermann OHG was known at that time mainly for its drugs such as Colomba ® (anti-asthmatic), Gallonorm® (binding of bile acid), Nephronorm® (flushing of the urinary tract) and Stomasal® (antacid). Franz Mauermann, born in 1900 , was a war-torn man, even the five-time destruction of his company during World War II could not prevent him from rebuilding again and again. In 1962 he, his wife Elfriede Mauermann, who were also integrated into the company, and their son Michael moved away from the Rhenish armaments area to the tranquil Upper Bavaria to the current company headquarters in Pöcking.

After completing his commercial and chemical training, Michael Mauermann, today's managing director of Mauermann-Arzneimittel KG, took over the company in 1972. Initially, Mr. Mauermann pushed the export business of in-house medicinal products and continuously modernized the entire production equipment up to the present day .. In the mid-80s, when the large generic companies opened their gates, Mr. Mauermann decided to take the technical route and began selling his own products strange hands. Since then, Mauermann-Arzneimittel has been successfully concentrating on its absolute core competence, the production of pharmaceuticals in solid dosage forms on behalf of its customers. It is thanks to the technical understanding of Mr. Mauermann, his admirable hard work and many valuable strategic decisions that the company Mauermann-Arzneimittel KG grew under his management to its present size. The company, which grew out of a purely family business, retained its familiar character.

It almost goes without saying that Mr. Mauermann's daughter, Mrs. Michaela Mauermann-Stürzenberger, followed in her father's footsteps after studying pharmacy at the LMU Munich in 2007 and is now the third generation to run the company together with her father. In addition to the management, Ms. Mauermann-Stürzenberger is responsible for the deputy production and control management of the company. A major milestone for the company will be the planned new building and the amalgamation of both production sites in a new company complex. These new premises enable Mauermann-Arzneimittel KG to constantly create new technologies, expand capacities and successfully establish their competencies on the market.
