Gel: treatment of traumatic joint lesions and hematomas; treatment in conditions of muscle and tendon overload as well as pains occurring during movement.
The preparation uses the synergy of action of individual ingredients. The anti-inflammatory effects of salicylic acid and adrenal cortex extract are mainly based on inhibition of prostaglandin biosynthesis and the release of lysosomal enzymes and other inflammatory mediators. In addition, the adrenal cortex extract inhibits the permeability of capillaries, exerting an anti-exudative effect, and salicylic acid - thanks to its keratolytic properties - facilitates the absorption of active substances through the skin. Mucopolysaccharide polysulfate, acting as an inhibitor of catabolic enzymes, inhibits the process of tissue degradation. As a result of the activation of plasminogen and the exerted anticoagulant effect, it also accelerates the elimination of fibrin deposits from inflamed tissues. In addition, mucopolysaccharide polysulfate stimulates the metabolic processes of mesenchyma cells, contributing to the rapid regeneration of damaged tissues. After topical application of the preparation, the active substances penetrate the tissues located under the surface of the skin, exerting an analgesic and anti-swelling effect.
Apply 5-15 cm of gel to the affected areas 1-3 times a day, lightly massaging into the skin. The ointment can also be used in occlusive dressings (the dose of the ointment can be appropriately increased) and in combination with physical therapy. The areas treated with the gel should not be covered with a dressing. The gel can also be used in combination with physical therapy - phonophoresis and iontophoresis (in the case of iontophoresis, the gel is placed under the cathode).
The active substances of the drug are: mucopolysaccharide polysulfate, adrenal cortex extract and salicylic acid.
The other ingredients are: disodium edetate, rosemary oil, ethanolamine, carbomer, propylene glycol, isopropyl alcohol, purified water.
