    Indications:

    Scopolan rectal suppositories is an over-the-counter medicine that is used in pain in spasms:
    - gastrointestinal tract (e.g. stomach cramps, intestinal colic, irritable bowel syndrome),
    - biliary tract (e.g. biliary colic),
    - genitourinary system (e.g. renal colic, spasms associated with ureterolithiasis, dysmenorrhea).
    It is addressed to children over 6 years of age, adolescents and adults.

    Properties:

    Scopolan is a preparation containing hyoscine butylbromide, which removes contractile states of smooth muscles in the abdominal cavity. The diastolic effect relieves painful spasms of the gastrointestinal tract, bile ducts and the genitourinary system.

    Composition:

    The active substance is hyoscine butylbromide - 10 mg
    The excipients are: solid fat, polysorbate 80, liquid paraffin, purified water.

    Use:

    Recommended dose:
    Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: rectally 1 to 2 suppositories 2 to 3 times a day.
    Children from 6 to 12 years of age: rectally 1 suppository 2 to 3 times a day.
    Always use the lowest effective dose.
    If symptoms persist for more than 3 days after starting treatment or worsen despite taking the preparation, the patient should discontinue use of the preparation and consult a physician.

    Important information:

    This preparation should be taken only temporarily (in case of symptoms) in the recommended indications.
    The use of Scopolan should be discussed with a doctor if the patient suffers from:
    gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (reflux of stomach contents into the esophagus)
    - ulcerative enteritis,
    - ischemic heart disease,
    - narrowing of the mitral opening (one of the valves in the heart).
    Particular care should be taken in elderly patients.
    In the event of any visual acuity disturbance or pain in the eyeball caused by an increase in intraocular pressure, stop taking the preparation and contact your doctor.
    Due to the possibility of reducing perspiration, the preparation should be used with caution in people with fever.
    Do not use in children under 6 years of age.
    Store the preparation at room temperature, out of the sight and reach of children.

    I use it when needed. Effective, I recommend for a small price and availability. Other bloating meds don't help me.
