Product description

Ketonal Rapid is an NSAID and antirheumatic agent. Derivative of propionic acid. For short-term symptomatic treatment of such types of acute pain of mild to moderate severity:

headache;
toothache;
menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea);
pain after minor sprains and tears.

Compound

1 sachet contains 80 mg of ketoprofen lysine salt, which corresponds to 50 mg of ketoprofen;

excipients: mannitol, povidone K30, mint flavor, sodium chloride, sodium saccharin, colloidal silicon dioxide.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance, acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs, or to any of the excipients.

Gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation that is a consequence of NSAID treatment.

Leukopenia or thrombocytopenia.

Chronic dyspepsia.

Mode of application

50 mg of ketoprofen (which corresponds to 80 mg of ketoprofen lysine salt) three times a day.

The maximum daily dose is 200 mg of ketoprofen, which corresponds to 320 mg of ketoprofen lysine salt.

The risks and benefits must be weighed well before starting treatment with a daily dose of ketoprofen 200 mg.

Higher doses are not recommended.

Application features

There are known cases of gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers and perforation, including fatal ones, that occurred at any stage of NSAID treatment, regardless of the presence of warning symptoms or the presence of severe gastrointestinal tract disorders in the anamnesis.

Pregnant

Ketoprofen is contraindicated during the third trimester of pregnancy.

Children

The preparation is not recommended for the treatment of children under the age of 16.

Drivers

The preparationhas little or no effect on the ability to drive vehicles or work with other mechanisms.

Overdose

Cases of overdose have been reported when taking a dose of up to 2.5 g of ketoprofen. In most cases, symptoms were mild and limited to lethargy, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, headache, dizziness, and diarrhea.

Side effects

Infections and invasions: aseptic meningitis, lymphangitis.

From the blood and lymphatic system: hemorrhagic anemia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia, bone marrow suppression, hemolytic anemia, leukopenia, neutropenia, aplastic anemia, leukocytosis, thrombocytopenic purpura.

From the immune system: anaphylactic reactions (including shock), edema of the oral mucosa, hypersensitivity.

Storage conditions

No special storage conditions are required. Keep out of the reach of children.
