Indications

Acute and chronic diarrhea, reduction in the number and volume of stools and an increase in stool consistency in patients with an ileal fistula.

Composition

1 tablet contains: 2 mg of lorapemide hydrochloride and excipients: lactose monohydrate.

Action

Antidiarrheal.

Dosage

Adults and children 6 years and over:

acute diarrhea: initial dose - 2 tablets (4 mg) for adults and 1 tablet (2 mg) for children; then 1 tablet (2 mg) after each additional free stool.

Chronic diarrhea: the starting dose is 2 tablets (4 mg) daily for adults and 1 tablet (2 mg) daily for children; this initial dose should be adjusted until you get 1 to 2 normal

stools per day, usually achieved with a maintenance dose of 1 to 6 tablets (2 to 12 mg) per day.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the preparation, children under 6 years of age, acute dysentery with the presence of blood in the stool and high fever, acute phase of ulcerative colitis, acute diarrhea caused by pathogenic bacteria or pseudomembranous colitis.
