Maxon Active is an over-the-counter preparation  intended for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men, i.e. impotence.

Maxon Active is a preparation  that contains the active substance - sildenafil. It belongs to the type 5 phosphodiesterase inhibitors. It works by relaxing the blood vessels in your penis, allowing blood to flow into your penis when you are sexually excited. Maxon Active will only help you to get an erection if you are sexually stimulated. The formula of the preparation  Maxon Active was developed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Under natural conditions, i.e. in response to sexual stimulation, it restores impaired erectile function by increasing blood flow to the penis. The physiological mechanism responsible for penile erection is the release of nitric oxide (NO) in the corpora cavernosa during sexual arousal. This causes the smooth muscles in the cavernous bodies to relax and allows blood to flow into the penis. Maxon Active is a preparation intended for oral use. Not recommended for women.

The active substance of Maxon Active is sildenafil. Each tablet contains 25 mg of sildenafil (as sildenafil citrate). The other ingredients are: excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, sodium croscarmellose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate; shell composition: Opadry II 31F58914 white: hypromellose 15cP, lactose monohydrate, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol 4000, sodium citrate dihydrate.

The recommended dose of Maxon Active is 25 mg (1 tablet). Maxon Active should be taken about one hour before planned sexual activity. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. If you have the impression that the effect of the preparation is too strong or too weak, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Maxon Active will only help you get an erection if you are sexually stimulated. The amount of time this medicine takes to work varies from person to person, but it normally takes between half an hour and one hour. It may take longer to work if this medicine is taken after a heavy meal. You should contact your doctor if you do not get an erection after taking this medicine, or if the erection is not long enough for you to have sexual intercourse.
