Product description

Indications

• Treatment of cold sores on the lips and face caused by the herpes simplex virus.
• Supportive in people with reduced immunity, in the case of recurrent infections of the upper respiratory tract.

Composition

• active ingredient: inosine pranobex (a complex containing inosine and 2-hydroxypropyl dimethylammonium 4-acetamidobenzoate in a molar ratio of 1: 3) 1000 mg,
• other ingredients: potato starch, povidone K-25, magnesium stearate.

Action

Dosage

• Adults: usually 1 tablet 3 times a day (the recommended dose is 50 mg / kg body weight daily).
• Children over 1 year of age *: The recommended dose is 50 mg / kg body weight daily, given in several divided doses.
• The preparation should be taken orally, washing down the tablet with a sufficient amount of liquid, preferably water.
• If you find it difficult to swallow the whole tablet, the tablets may be crushed and dissolved in a small amount of liquid to make it easier to take.

Contraindications

• Allergic to inosine pranobex or any of the other ingredients of the preparation.
• Gout attack) or increased levels of uric acid in the blood during tests.
• Do not use in children 1 year of age.
