Indications:

skin and mucous membrane infections caused by herpes simplex virus type I (labial herpes) or type II (genital herpes) and chickenpox and herpes zoster; other infections caused by viruses (e.g. subacute sclerosing encephalitis, a complication of measles); supportively in people with reduced immunity in the case of recurrent upper respiratory tract infections.

Composition:

1 tablet contains: active substance: 1000 mg pranobex inosine (complex containing inosine and 4-hydroxypropyl dimethylammonium acetamidobenzoate in a molar ratio of 1: 3). The other ingredients are: wheat starch, mannitol, povidone 30, magnesium stearate.

Action:

antiviral and increases the body's immunity (stimulates the activity of the immune system).

Dosage:

adults including the elderly (over 65 years of age): 50mg per kg body weight per day (usually 1g, i.e. 1 tablet 3 times a day). Do not take more than 4 tablets a day. Children over the age of 1 year: 50mg per kg body weight per day, given in several divided doses. For children who are unable to swallow tablets, it is recommended to administer Neosine forte in syrup. Treatment usually lasts from 5 to 14 days. It is recommended that after the symptoms of the disease disappear, take the preparation for another 1 to 2 days. In children and adolescents with reduced immunity: the preparation should be used 10 days a month, for the next 3 months.

Contraindications:

if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine; if you currently have a gout attack or high blood uric acid levels.
