Pharmacological properties

The preparation has an antiseptic, analgesic and wound healing effect, reduces the formation of exudate and promotes the formation of a crust, granulation and epithelialization.

Skin grafts can be incorporated into the wound surface pretreated with Acerbin.

Salicylic acid has a pronounced necrolytic effect; promotes the formation of healthy granulations and tissue epithelialization.

Malic acid has a positive effect on the processes of metabolism and exudation in the wound. Promotes the removal of carbon dioxide from the wound, prevents wound alkalization, has a positive effect on the healing process, prevents infection of the wound surface and stimulates the wound healing process.

The antibacterial and fungicidal properties of benzoic and salicylic acids additionally contribute to the tissue regeneration process.

Indications

For the complex treatment of superficial skin lesions: wounds, burns of various origins (thermal and solar), abrasions.

Application

Apply by spraying on the skin or on a sterile bandage.

Adults and children, including infants (from 28 days to 1 year) - apply to a wound or damaged surface 2 or more times a day. After crust formation, it is considered sufficient to apply once a day.

The ointment is applied in a thin layer to the wound or damaged surface 2 times a day.

The duration of treatment depends on the course of the disease and the rate of wound healing.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. children under the age of 1 month.

Side effects

When used correctly, acerbine is well tolerated.

Perhaps the development of a short sensation of warmth at the site of application of the preparation, which is replaced by a decrease in the severity of pain, passes on its own and does not need to cancel the preparation.

Special instructions

Avoid contact with mucous membranes, especially eyes and mouth.

For extensive wound surfaces and burns, bedsores, ulcers and in preparation for transplantation, a doctor's consultation is necessary.

In patients with severe renal impairment, Acerbin ointment is not recommended for use on large areas of the body and for a long period.

Use during pregnancy and lactation. Acerbin solution can be used during pregnancy and lactation. In experimental studies, the absence of a teratogenic or other negative effect of the preparation on the course of pregnancy, fetus or newborn was established.

Salicylic acid can be excreted in breast milk. During breastfeeding, the ointment and solution should not be applied to the breast area. Do not apply the ointment to large areas of the body during pregnancy and lactation. Before starting treatment, you should consult your doctor.

Interactions

Ointment: complexes are formed with iron salts (iiii), with iodine it enters into a precipitation reaction, with borax - into a neutralization reaction.
