Mumio, also known as Shilajit, is a black-brown substance that occurs naturally in the rock crevices of some mountain ranges. It is created from the remains of plants, algae and lichens, getting into the recesses of mountain rocks, where over time, as a result of natural biological changes, they transform into a mummy rich in valuable ingredients. Among the numerous active ingredients of Mumio, one of the most important are fulvic acids. Mumio also contains many other biologically active substances such as phospholipids, triterpenes and phenolic acids. It is also rich in vitamins, minerals and trace elements.
