Product description

Ambroxol-Teva oral solution is used for secretolytic therapy for acute and chronic broncho-pulmonary diseases associated with impaired bronchial secretion and weakening of mucus movement.

Structure

Active substance: ambroxol hydrochloride;
5 ml of syrup contains ambroxol hydrochloride - 15 mg;
Excipients: sorbito solution, propylene glycol, raspberry flavor, saccharin, purified water.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to ambroxol and / or other components of the preparation.

Mode of application

Ambroxol-Teva, syrup, is taken orally after meals. After taking it, it is recommended to drink 1 glass of water. The mucolytic effect of Ambroxol is enhanced by the use of large amounts of liquid.
Adults and children over 12 years old: in the first 2-3 days - 10 ml 3 times a day (equivalent to 90 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride per day), then - 10 ml 2 times a day (equivalent to 60 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride per day). If necessary, the therapeutic effect for adults and children over 12 years of age can be enhanced by increasing the dose to 20 ml 2 times a day (equivalent to 120 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride per day).
For adults and children over 12 years old, it is advisable to use a dosage form containing a high concentration of ambroxol hydrochloride (for example, Ambroxol-Teva solution, 37.5 mg / 5 ml).

Application features

Pregnant
It is not recommended to use the preparation  in the first trimester of pregnancy.
Children
The preparation can be used in pediatric practice. For children under 2 years old, use as directed by a doctor.

Overdose

There are currently no reports of specific overdose symptoms. Symptoms known from rare reports of overdose and / or cases of misuse of preparations correspond to the known side effects of Ambroxol hydrochloride in recommended doses and require symptomatic treatment.

Side effects

Skin rash, urticaria, angioedema, pruritus, anaphylactic reactions (including anaphylactic shock), other hypersensitivity reactions, dysgeusia (taste disorder), nausea, decreased sensitivity in the mouth, vomiting, diarrhea, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, dry mouth, drooling, dry throat, decreased sensitivity in the pharynx, shortness of breath (as a symptom of a hypersensitivity reaction).

Interaction

The simultaneous use of the preparation  nd cough suppressants can lead to excessive accumulation of mucus due to inhibition of the cough reflex, therefore such a combination is possible only after a doctor's careful assessment of the ratio of the expected benefit and the possible risk of use.

Storage conditions

The preparation  does not require special storage conditions.
Keep out of the reach of children.
The shelf life is 5 years.
