Aroma-Activ is an ointment medicine containing substances that have a local warming effect and cause muscle relaxation. Aroma-Activ ointment can be rubbed on the skin in painful areas in order to relieve pain. The preparation can also be used by free inhalation in the case of mild catarrh of the upper respiratory tract.

Indications

Relief of pain, e.g. joint pain, neuralgia and muscle pain.

Mild catarrh of the upper respiratory tract by free inhalation after application within the chest.

Composition

100 g of ointment contains:

active substances: 1.0 g of camphor, 1.0 g of menthol, 0.5 g of pine oil, 0.5 g of juniper oil, 0.5 g of turpentine oil.

other substances: white petroleum jelly.

Action

A local muscle warming and relaxing effect.

Dosage

To relieve pain

Adults, adolescents and children over 6 years of age: rub a small amount of the ointment on the sore skin twice a day.

In mild catarrh of the upper respiratory tract

Adults, adolescents and children over 7 years of age: rub a small amount of the ointment on the skin in the upper part of the chest.

If, after 3 days in adults and 1 day in children, there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, see your doctor.

Contraindications

Do not use Aroma-Activ:

• in children under 6 years of age, when using inhalation more freely in children under 7 years of age.
• if you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
• if you have damaged skin
• if you suffer from atopic dermatitis,
• when using free inhalation:
• if you suffer from asthma or whooping cough.

Storage

Keep the preparation out of the sight and reach of children, at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C.

Side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Possible side effects:

• allergic reactions;
• irritation of the skin and mucous membranes;
• bronchospasm caused by the free inhalation of volatile substances.
• In the event of the above-mentioned symptoms, discontinue the preparation and contact your doctor.

Interactions

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the preparations you are taking or have recently taken, and about any preparations you plan to take.

There are no known interactions of Aroma-Activ with other preparations.

Warnings and Precautions

Do not apply the preparation to a large area of ​​the skin.

Avoid contact of the preparation with the eyes and mucous membranes of the nose and mouth.

Discontinue use of the preparation if you are allergic.

Do not apply to the skin of the face and neck.

In case of contact with mucous membranes, wash off the medicine with warm water.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

It is not recommended to use the preparation during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Driving vehicles and operating machinery

The effect of Aroma-Activ on driving and using machines is not known.
