Indications

In unstable coronary artery disease, in recent myocardial infarction or suspected recent myocardial infarction, in the prevention of recurrent myocardial infarction, in the prevention of thromboembolic complications after vascular surgery or interventions (e.g. percutaneous coronary intravascular angioplasty (PTCA), coronary artery bypass graft (PTCA) CABG), carotid endarterectomy, arteriovenous shunt), to prevent transient ischemic attacks (TIA) and ischemic stroke in patients with TIA, to prevent first myocardial infarction in patients with multiple risk factors, to prevent thrombosis deep vein and pulmonary embolism in patients who are immobilized for a long time, e.g. after major surgery, as an adjunct to other prophylaxis.

Composition

1 coated tablet contains 100 mg of acetylsalicylic acid and excipients: powdered cellulose, corn starch, methacrylic acid and methyl acrylate copolymer, polysorbate 80, sodium lauryl sulfate, talc, triethyl citrate.

Action

The drug inhibits platelet aggregation.

Dosage

- in unstable coronary artery disease: 1 tablet once a day.

- in order to prevent thromboembolic complications after surgery or interventions on vessels: 1 tablet once a day

- in acute myocardial infarction: 1 tablet once a day. The first tablet must be chewed for rapid absorption.

- in the prevention of recurrence of infarction: 1 tablet once a day

- in the prevention of transient ischemic attacks (TIA) and ischemic strokes: 1 tablet once a day,

- to prevent coronary artery thrombosis in patients with multiple risk factors: 1 tablet once a day

- to prevent venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism: 1-2 tablets once a day.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid, other salicylates or to any of the excipients; hemorrhagic diathesis; acute gastric and / or duodenal ulcer disease; severe failure of the kidneys, liver, heart; history of bronchial asthma attacks induced by the administration of salicylates or substances with a similar effect, especially non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; simultaneously with methotrexate in doses of 15 mg per week or more; last trimester of pregnancy; in children up to 12 years of age in the course of viral infections due to the risk of Reye's syndrome.
