Product description
Avodel tablets are used for emergency oral contraception in the first 72 hours after sexual intercourse, during which no contraceptive method was used, or the method used was not sufficiently reliable.
Compound
Active ingredient: levonorgestrel.
1 tablet contains levonorgestrel - 1.5 mg.
Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose, poloxamer 188, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation.
Severe liver failure.
Pregnancy.
Mode of application
The preparation is administered orally.
1 tablet should be taken as soon as possible, preferably within 12 hours and no later than 72 hours after unprotected intercourse.
If vomiting occurs within 3 hours after taking the tablet, another tablet should be taken immediately.
Avodel can be taken on any day of the menstrual cycle, if there is no delay in menstrual bleeding.

Taking Avodel tablets during pregnancy is contraindicated.
Children
The use of Avodel in children under 16 years of age is not recommended due to lack of clinical experience.
Overdose
There are no data on severe adverse reactions after taking large doses of the preparation. Overdose may cause nausea and breakthrough bleeding. There is no specific antidote, treatment is symptomatic.
Side effects
The most commonly reported adverse reaction was nausea.
Storage conditions
Does not require special storage conditions. Keep out of the reach of children.
Shelf life - 3 years.
